I was always led to believe that the Enterprise was built in orbit above San Fransisco, not on Earth. Hmmmm
I can't wait for the movie.

It will be interesting to see where Abrams goes with the "re-imagining" of Trek. It will be difficult to put aside the last 40 years... That being said I am looking forward to it as well and Abrams did a great job with "Lost".
