    Default new here, ball lifter

Hello every one, I am new here. I had a vintage machine 20 years, dont have it any more. I bough a Julie the Pinball machine off of ebay. I am very, very excited about getting it. Will be getting it this friday.
I have been reading here about ball lifters. I think I found some one on the net that might be able to make a machine for us. Please right to him. http://www.rollingballsculpture.com/ Check out his work that he has done with his art. I think some one like this could help us out.

Welcome and thanks for the info!

Pachinko ball lifters work differently in that they rely on a specially notched wheel to push balls up a tube. A screw design like this guy makes could work. A screw was used with the Spacecoaster sets.
But the tolerances on the thing would have to be a LOT tighter since the balls are a fraction of the size he works with. The number of balls that would be on the screw at any given time would be rather heavy too, so the screw would have to be strong enough to carry the weight. It looks like he'd have to use a heavier gauge than what he has there. Naturally the cost can't be that high. I think it's worth asking him about...what can it hurt?
