Default Sankyo - Super Stadium World Cup Soccer Questions

I am new to the board and the "sport". I picked up a Sankyo Super Stadium for my son. Built a great cabinet (thanks everyone for cabinet posts), bought lots of balls, and have been playing for a month.

I have a few gameplay questions related to the Sankyo machines... The Super Stadium Soccer field has two sets of "jackpot wheels" in the center (that rotate to expose another set of wheels), a goal in the center of the field, a clawed goal below and a bunch of gates and spinners.

Here are my questions for anyone experienced with Sankyo...

    1. In the first few weeks of play I got a fever about once a day and rarely did the "claw goal" open up. In the past week it seems to be in a mode where I don't get fevers, but the clawed goal is open A LOT and I get more of a constant payout... did the machine somehow get put into another mode?
    2. There are 3 buttons on the front. A chance button and two silver buttons with some Japanese writing. I don't believe the chance button is functional with SS (per previous posts), but what do the other two buttons do? They also appear to be non-functional, but I can't ready Japanese, so Imay never know.
    3. There are two lights toward the top and on the outside edges of the machine. A yellow on the left and a red on the right. When the yellow light is on the "claw goal" tends to open up a lot more. Ocassionally the Red Light on the right goes on in addition to the yellow. Any idea what these mean?
    4. Are there any gameplay manuals for any Sankyo machines out there that explain the details of gameplay?

This machine has been great! In one month we've had at least 50 hours of play.

    Thanks!

I have a Yoon Sona which is the same pachinko mechanically as yours (with a very different theme)

    1. just the cycle of game play

    2. I don't think the chance button works with this cel and the 2 other buttons on the front only work in a parlor, or if you buy one of Daverob's amazing dongles that can get you as close to the real parlor play as you can get without travel

3.The red light is to let you know that the top hopper is out and the yellow light is the win light it will flash every time you hit a win pocket and stay on if there are payouts owed to you

    4. not that I know of. The more you play the more you will understand what is going on

As Owennewton said, the two silver buttons are only used in the parlours.

They are connected to a card reader unit and are used in conjunction with the prepaid cards in the parlour. You get a card from a vending machine and it holds your play credit for the games.

This card is inserted into a reader next to the machine and the credit remaining on the card is displayed on a three digit display just above the two buttons on the pachinko (it's quite difficult to see this display on a Sankyo Lumina framed machine unless it's lit up).

When the player wants some balls to play with, they press the 'Ball Loan' button (the left hand one of the two) and balls are dispensed directly from the machine into the shooter tray, with the appropriate amount of credit being deducted from the pre-paid card. When the player is finished they press the 'Return' button (the other one!) and the card is ejected from the card reader unit.

If you like the idea of dispensing balls on demand, then you can fit a Card Reader Emulator dongle to the back of the machine, and the buttons and display can be used to simulate the prepaid card system used in the parlours. You can even add a smartcard reader to the dongle and have your own cards to use with the machine.

These dongles are usually available from the PachiTalk Auction site (link in the top corner of this page!), but there's none listed at the moment (I need to send some orders out and do a quick stock check before re-listing them). For more information do a search for 'daverob dongle' on this board and there's a whole load of threads about it.

The only manual of game play:

    Good Luck, Good Life. SANKYO

    Sorry, all Japanese

I have Super Stadium and can confirm that the chance button doesn't come into play on this game.
