Middle Reel Stuck

HELP!

I received my Tomb Raider today. I just took one day delivery by FedEx from Gaku. There was a hole in the box, but it was where the back of the machine faced and the power cable hole, so it doesn't look like there was any damage to the machine.

However, there's a problem. The middle reel won't spin and I get error message E-6 (Prize Error). I tried to reset the machine and also turn it off, reset, etc. but it still won't spin. It sounds like it's trying to spin.

If anyone you can help me out tonight that would be awesome. I can't wait to play it. I've emailed Gaku and will also leave him a pm and phone message, but he's not in tomorrow. Thank you.

can you turn the reel by hand either way??

check the reel assembly to see if it is out of alignent from shipping.

make sure the lights behind that reel did not come loose and jammed in the inside of the reel or that something else isn't blocking it.

E6 is a hopper error, turn the wheel in the hopper either way to see if its turning properly, also unplug the hopper and reset the connector.

make sure you have tokens in the hopper before turning it on.

The reel only move about 1/2 inch either way.

If the reel assembly is the whole black box that contains all 3 reels it seems okay, because it doesn't move at all.

The lights behind the right reel was loos and I fixed it. I don't know how to get to the lights in the middle reel. How do I access the inside of it to check?

The hopper turns one way and spits out tokens. I put about 1/2 the tokens (1/2 of 250) in the hopper before trying to play it.

Sometimes the reels can jump out of alignment in their housing from rough shipping

Take out the reel assembly and you can tell if it has.

Usually its just a simple matter of snapping the reel back into place if it wasn't damaged.

Also check to see if some errant token that might have been missed before shipping may have become wedged in the hopper

Would you mind walking me through the steps to take out the reel assembly to check? Thank you.

It could just snap out of place. On mine there is only a screw that is needed to slide it out of place. However, I'm unsure of what is needed to be done with the Tomb Raider model.

if your lights were loose on one reel, that may be your problem with the middle reel.

I'm not sure how to remove the assembly, a lot of models vary. are the 3 reels flush in the front.

if you could post pictures that may help.

is there a button on the power supply to test the hopper??

Thank you luckydog, Eddie, Ichi, and Tulsa's reel removal instructions (very clear instructions with pictures). That was it. I took out all the reels and the left reel light was off too and not allowing the middle reel to turn. Not I'm up and running tonight! You guys are great!
