Top Gun question

Howdy folks!

Quick question for any of you that may know: After a few hours of play my Top Gun machine went into a cycle where it keeps alternating between the arcade game and the 15 bonus rounds. While this is certainly cool, I'm wondering if/when it will return to it's normal play rounds. There doesn't seem to be a way to "lose" while in this cycle; even if you walk away or turn it off.

I figured that might be the case. Guess I just got really lucky having the machine go into the Fever cycle in the first few hours I owned it. Maybe it wanted to make a good first impression.

Well, I'll enjoy the ride while it lasts. On a side note: parlor owners must dread these never-ending bonus rounds. The payout during the arcade part of the cycle is immense (if you can hit the enemy jets).
