    From looking at my machine, Looks like the tokens pass thru some sort of optical sensor? (Is this correct?) So you just can't hook up a credit button somewhere?

    Autoslot's autostops have a credit add feature I think...that you can use with or without the auto stop stuff!!

    Yes, there are optical sensors in the coin chute. In my Macy, there are 2 sensors that are very close together. I assume that one tells the processor that a coin has entered and the other tells it that it passed through without jambing.

    I just installed an autostop chip and yes the "credit add" feature can be used with or without the autostop feature. Basically, it's an oscillator that pops out 53 pulses to simulate the same number of coins. It does this regardless of how many credits are already there. In fact, if you only need a few credits to reach 50 and immediately hit the start lever, the autostop feature won't work, because the chip is still spitting out credit pulses and can only do 1 thing at a time. Not a big issue. Just don't get in too big of a hurry.
