    Default Fluorescent Bulb Questions

I know that much has been posted about the fluorescent bulbs in our Pachislo machines, but they are not only difficult to find, but very expensive as well.

My questions concerns my Final Juggler machine, which is suppose to take the 13" T10 fluorescent bulbs.

    1. The number T10 leads me to believe that these are 10 watt bulbs. Am I correct?

    2. Are these bulbs 110/120 volt?

    Thank you in advance:

    Steve

T is the size and 10 is the wattage.

they run on 24 volts id I'm not mistaken.

some people have had luck finding them at home depot or local hardware or lighting store.

these bulbs are available at home depot and the like . as for the t-10 L.D. is correct except for the voltage thats defendant on the ballast transformer used .The ballast steps the voltage up to several hundred volts to fire the bulb .a t-10 is a t-10 they're not dependant on input voltage only the output of the matching ballast transformer . if you find a t-10 bulb thats what you want how ever it might be followed by a (c)or a (w ) the c is cool white (or bluewish color) and the w is warm white (yellowish color ). the hard ones to find are the newest bulbs that are like a 1/4" thick and are most likely laptop or flat panel back lighting replacement bulbs . Good Luck heres a chart explaining the bulb code .

    Fluorescent Lamp Labeling

The actual fluorescent tubes are identified by several letters and numbers and will look something like 'F40CW-T12' or 'FC12-T10'. So, the typical labeling is of the form FSWWCCC-TDD (variations on this format are possible):

F - Fluorescent lamp. G means Germicidal shortwave UV lamp.
S - Style - no letter indicates normal straight tube; C for Circline.
    WW - Nominal power in Watts. 4, 5, 8, 12, 15, 20, 30, 40, etc.
    CCC - Color. W=White, CW=Cool white, WW=Warm white, BL/BLB=Black light, etc.
    T - Tubular bulb.
DD - Diameter of tube in of eighths of an inch. T8 is 1", T12 is 1.5", etc. For the most common T12 (1.5 inch) tube, the wattage (except for newer energy saving types) is usually 5/6 of the length in inches. Thus, an F40-T12 tube is 48 inches long.

    Thanks for all the info!

After much online research, I think I've found what I believe to be the correct fluorescent bulbs for my Pachislo.

The only cost me $2.00 each and I got them here.

Should get them in a week and I'll post my results then.

I just received Final Juggler as a gift from my from my wife. This is my first machine. The light bar across the top does not light up. It looks like there should be two colors. I went into the store where she bought it and they have none left. These are seasonal items that they carry at Christmas time. I know nothing about these machines and unfortunately the guy in the store doesn't know anything either. He said that maybe it only lights up when you hit a jackpot. I think he's probably wrong and that it might flash when you hit a jackpot, but it should at least stay lit the rest of the time. I can still return it to the store for our money back, but I'd hate to give up this gift if the problem is only minor.

Does it sound like I only need a bulb? If so, is this the same bulb that you were looking for (and found)? Also, there were no instructions or manual anywhere in the box. Is this an easy light to replace? Can you tell me how to do it?

Thanks for your help (and anyone else's),
    Glenn

PS -- Are there any manuals for these machines?

You'll need to open the door and confirm there is a bulb to replace. Some of my machines do not have an illuminated 'payout glass' above the reels, some do.
