    Default Surprise source for machines

My wife goes to a general auction every Wednesday in Crumpton, MD and pachis have been showing up there on a pretty regular basis of late. She picked up Twist for me for $50 two weeks ago and the same week Mephisto went for $60 although she didn't bid on that one. Both machines were in great shape. The folks who bid on these just want a slot and don't care about the title. It sure would be nice if an SL, Harley, or DD showed up and went for $50.

A few years ago she bought some Jugtownware for $15 and we sold it on ebay for $1,000 so there are some real bargains out there if you look for them.

$50 for a Twist is a hell of a good price. It's a good price for any pachislo (save million dog and k1 punch rush) but the Twist still gets a decent price when you can find one.

No, I'm still only 76 feet tall. Too much coffee when I was young I suppose.

Nice buy. I would love to pick up a twist or any machine for that price! Sounds like you have an awesome wife!
