Mahjong Tournament!!

Is there a secret strategy to this game? I don't seem to get very far, but I keep on playing only to go cross-eyed and get a headache!

If you don't like the tile layout or the way the game is going you can reset

clear center tiles early, if you have more than 2 tiles matching take the matching one that will give you other tiles to play.

take a break every once in awhile and drink a lot of coffee

...and if you don't know the secret to the flower tiles... you can match numbered flowers to numbered flowers (no need to match the picture exactly) and the set of non-numbered flowers may also be randomly matched. I did not know that the first two days and thought I was going to lose my mind...in addition to my vision

Thought I'd share a pic of my bamboo mahjong set that my mother got in the 60's in Taiwan. I inhertied this one along with two other regular sets and a mahjong table from my mother. She didn't use the bamboo set because they are smaller than the standard size tiles, so they are in excellent shape. I love them and have used them several times to play mahjong with friends.
