New guy with questions...

First, this is an awesome website/forum! Kudos to all of you!

I just purchased my very first (and definately not my last) Pashislo called Texas Hold-em for my wife for Christmas and I know she is going to love it. My fingers are crossed that it arrives (suppose to be here Monday the 24th) in one piece and in working condition.

I bought it off of Ebay, here is the link:

I've already spent hours upon hours trying to find any information I can about this machine, who makes it, what year it was made, etc., and I'm not having any luck. Can anyone tell me anything about this machine???

Also, did I make a good purchase, do ok for my first buy?

Any information at all would be greatly appreciated!

yup, sorry but that machine, while still probably playing well< is pure fantasy, the artwork is produced here in the USA and applied to an otherwise boring machine. this does NOT change the bore factor! but does change the look of he machine while at the same time decreasing the small value of the machine.Sorry!

That means your machine started out as a Juggler V and was modified with some new graphics to fit a popular theme. There are a lot of differing opinions on customizing around here, but I think we are all in agreement that a buyer should know exactly what he is buying and that the fact it is a customized machine should be disclosed. In my opinion, the worst thing about customs is that the sounds and music do not correspond with the new theme.

I'm not sure about the play of your machine, but Pachislos in general are well built, lots of bells and whistles and great fun.

The good thing about this custom is they did a nice job matching the colors and the original theme is generic enough the sounds should not play against the new theme. Unfortunately reel symbols weren't changed so you will have a juggler symbol and it won't have any relation to the card game theme.

I'm sure you're going to have fun with this machine and if you choose to purchase another pachislo, visit our research center where you can find a theme that really fits your personality and then ask about it in the forum, more than likely someone will have played it or know something about it.

Well, if I had ONLY found this website and forum FIRST! I know this will not be my last purchase for sure and I will absolutely ask which and where to get my next one.

It's 0600 and my tracking indicates that it is located at the last and nearest UPS facility so it may be delivered today. What I'll do is take some video of it and post it here. Being our first Pachislo, I'm sure it will be well-accepted and used often by many, even though I guess I didn't do so well.

If the reels don't match the theme, perhaps I can make some new graphics that will and install them. Computer graphics is one of my hobbies.

Thank you for the information about my new (used) machine! This will help me a great deal. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks. I look forward to learning a lot here at PachiTalk and hope that some day I can do my part to assist someone else.

You did fine...and you will have fun. You can't put a price on that...and actually, your price wasn't too bad. A lot of customs are priced way beyond what you have paid. We can't wait to hear about your machine!

Just checked and it is out for delivery today.

I purchased this with 3-day shipping and considering it was ordered in NY, and shipped from Ohio during perhaps the busiest time of year, 2 days from order to deliver is pretty good service!

I just hope everything works...

I'm not sure exactly who it is coming from in Ohio, my tracking information shows the following:

It left Middleburg, OH at 2:27 a.m. the 20th

It arrived in Norwood, MA at 12.22 a.m. the 21st

And it will be setup and she'll be playing it as soon as she gets home from work today. I can't wait to play with it too.

I'm sure your machine will be a lot of fun for you. Sometimes we forget how much fun that first machine was before we found out about the newer, flashier games. The first one I bought was pretty basic (Derby Boy) but I still enjoy playing it because I like the horse racing theme and characters on it.
It sounds like you and your wife are into Texas Hold 'Em, so you will probably always enjoy this machine. And you didn't do too bad on the price either as far as customized machines go.

hey all, im new 2 all this but i now have 3 machines and havin trouble finding the volume switch on them. after reading the manuals that came with them many times i still cant find it so im hopin that some1 can help me out
