OMG that is bad. Throw in a DPST switch and break one of the speaker wires on each channel during startup...for all humanity.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will try them out !

If that don't work I am going to order a kit that is advertised on the web that claims to stop the alarm perminantly. It is make by Remington and comes in two kits, 12GA and 10GA !!! BOOM ! Alarm no mo.

[quote=badbud;246795]I have a JAWS pachinko that I love but it has a LOUD alarm that goes off for about 30-seconds whenever it is turned on. I am assuming maybe it is becasue it is not attached to a parlors LAN anymore ? I mean it is LOUD. Like a buglar alarm !

Has anyone seen this before on these Kyoraku machines ?

More importantly, does anyone know how to disable these alarms ?(before my wife makes me resale it !)

    Me =

    Hi badbud,
Yes I also didn`t like that anoying squall alarm on the Kyoraku machines
So I was thinking... and thinking how to turn this off, I did noticed that it was not necessary to install volumepots because the sound can be set on the backside of the machine and on the lowest setting the sound is just fine, so the best way to stop this squall was to install a switch between the 2 top speakers because they are responsible for this terrible noise, in the first picture you can see how I installed the switch , drill a small hole in the machine to place the switch and link the 2 speaker wires , when I turn my machine on I put the switch to off and as soon as the game begins I turn the switch to on to hear the sound, when I stop playing I turn the switch to off so that whenever I turn on my machine again it will not surprise me anymore .

The strange thing is that even if I turn the switch off and boot the machine you can still hear the squall but VERY VERY softly, probably been caused by the bass speaker...

I prefered to place the switch on the outside of the machine but then I had to drill a hole on the backside of the frame, so behind the door on the inside was for me the best solution.
