Wow...what a beautiful dog... you were blessed with the time you had. Don't ever apologize for sharing here, we are friends. It was the dear people on this forum that eased my pain in the passing of my beloved Golden Retriever and then this past summer with the passing of my Father.

I have lost many four legged friends over the years and it is never easy but the pain is so small when you think of all the love they give you.

I am sorry to hear and I offer condolences for your loss.. I have lost many 4 legged freinds over the years and each one gets more and more painful when they leave. They give you unconditional love and its very hard. They are more than just pets. They are members of your family and when they leave, they take a little of you when they go. Its hard to not have that loving dog with you each day. It makes me appreciate the time you have together. Each and every day. To me they are gifts from god and I appreciate them very much.

Sorry for you loss... I understand what you are going through, as I have had to put many of my pets to sleep. One of the hardest for me was my last Siamese cat Mushu. He was always a ball of fun. No matter what mood I was in when I came home from work; he would cheer me up. He had respiratory problems since he was a kitten, and one day it got to the point where we had to take him to the emergency vet. I still remember them taking him from me, and his last struggle to get away from the vet, and back to me. They tried to save him, but he was just too sick. I still remember the way he looked at me as the vet carried him in to the back, and the door closed.

My cats are:

Linus (Siamese)
Dammit (Rag Doll)
Wilie (???)

Linus is like a little kid, and always has to be in the middle of whatever your doing. He is the my second Siamese cat, and a gift from the breeder that I got Mushu from. I guess he was a warranty replacement? I have already spent about more on Linus in vet bills than on my entire Pachi collection (over 2K).

Dammit is a mellow, and is my oldest cat; he's about 10 years old now. he like Linus has to be everywhere I am.

Wilie is my garage cat. I know who has a garage cat? I do... He was an outside cat, but someone hit him with something and banged him up good. Every since then I can't get him to go outside. I tried to make him an inside cat, but he refuses to use a litter box in the house. He uses one in the garage, but not in the house. I don't understand that one...

So sorry for your loss. Brings back memories of a sad, sad story and time going on five years, when I lost my eight year old Rottweiler buddy prematurely. Still hurts like hell to this day. It also helped me as well, to vent online and get the support I needed to get through that tough time. I still have an open wound, but time and my current dogs a Neo Mastiff and a Black Lab have helped me fill part of that void. God Bless and thank you for the time that you gave to that poor animal. I know your little buddies thank you.

I am sorry for your loss of a Family Member for that is what pets are. I have had many pass over the years and it is never easy.

Thanks for the story Steve, and I'm sorry about your loss. I understand the need to vent about a loss, I did the same thing about a silly building that burned down last year.

But here, you'll find people that are more than willing to listen and lend you support. Although nothing could replace Blake, soon most of the pain will pass and you'll remember him for what he was, a good friend.
