Default Possible Electrical Problem with Rambo??

I just purchased a Rambo pachinko and, unlike the rest of my pachinkos (Star Wars, Rocky, Top Gun, Indy Jones, etc.), this one makes two constant sounds while turned on.

The first sound is sort of like a vacuum cleaner, although not as loud. I think this may be coming from the LCD. I would say it is similar to the Sammy squeal on pachislos. Perhaps there is some sort of fan back there. Does anyone know if this is a common sound for Rambo and/or Heiwa panchinkos?

The second sound is a bit more troubling. It is similar to a constant humming noise like you'd hear if you were standing near power lines. When some of the lights flash on and off or rotate there will be a split-second pause of the humming noise. None of my other machines make this noise and I'm concerned it may be a faulty connection or something like that. Does anyone have any thoughts or similar experiences with Rambo?

    Thank you!

Some LCD's have fans on them to keep circuits cool. that may be that noise.

is your power cord grounded, or it may just be a faulty ground somewhere.

I think Heiwas have fans. Mine does anyway..I get that hum/vacuum sound.

The other hum is electrical noise. The fact that the amplification is cranked on these things to loud, louder and ear shattering makes it more noticeable. You'd never hear it in a pachinko parlor so it isn't a priority for the manufacturer. You can improve it by replacing the 2 line AC cord with a 3 prong grounded one. Use the ground wire to ground the machine and you may notice a reduction in the hum. But the thing that'll knock down the noise the most is installing volume controllers, which is really a must for most modern machines anyway.

Yes. Rambo has a cooling fan on the back of the LCD. It's inside of the top clear plastic case door. That HUM is not a cause for concern.

And yes. My Heat Sinks need a little dusting.
