Default glimpse of tv of the future ???

In case you where un aware Available right now on cbs, nbc, and abc .com's are full episodes of most of your favorite shows for this season for on demand viewing online. could this be a glimpse of future tv on demand on the net ? it is nice to see a show with only 1/4 the commercials that are presently on network tv . and watching them when i want instead of when they want to show them is great not to mention watching them when network television isn't showing anything good is nice also . but having to watch them on a tiny viewer that you cant resize sucks big time but then again this is in its infancy... Yes I know you can get the same thing with cable but this isn't cable its free tv (when you pay your i.p of course ) eventually every thing will be like this no tv, no computer ,no phone just one unit doing the job of all three and of course renting everything off the net and if Bill Gates has anything to do with it (and he does) it will be from microsoft.

I watch a whole slew of TV shows on the web from the networks' own web sites. NBC is home to most of my favorites. I also pick up a few of the shows off of SciFi. This way I can get a show in over my lunch and not have to try to cram all of my show watching in at home. Some shows I only watch at home just because I really enjoy them in HD in my home theater.

Good discussion to share though, thanks!

I have been able to watch abc.com shows on full screen on my desktop. It is not as nice as big screen TV...but then again, I am not sitting six inches from my plasma either Having 3 teenagers, I am always being interupted or having my TV time disrupted in one way or another. This has been a great alternative... and I do it when they are in school Ah...much to be said for 'alone' time.

you may be right arby im sure they'll include teleconfrencing so the thing will most likely have a web cam and im sure as with now a good hacker can gain access to your cam and watch what ever is with in the field of vision of the cam any time you leave the computer on even with the software off.(can hear about 20 cam cords being ripped out of usb ports about now ...)
