Default Error E3 - Something Wrong!

    Hello,

I played my King of Mouse machine for a first time in a while today and noticed when it pays out the hopper always struggles and around 80% of the time comes up with an error "E-3", the hopper sounds like it's dieing, does anyone know how to fix?

    Thanks, Adam

A long shot might be the hoppers not fully conected, check and make sure all the wires are seated secureIy. If thats not it I would take the hopper apart and give it a good cleaning. I never had to take a pachi hopper apart before but on Bally hoppers (seikos) We used simple green to clean and vasiline to lub. moving parts.

    Hello,

I took the hopper to bits but it was not very dusty or dirty, I then put it back together again and the problem still persists, do you think the motor might be going or have any other ideas?

PS. I also checked the cabling.

    Thanks, Adam

unplug your hopper and put a few tokens in the bottom and turn it by hand does it turn smoothly ? do the tokens eject easily ? if not do as chris says and lubricate the gear assembly also clean the switch or sensor that counts the tokens being ejected .it may just be that your motor is on its way out unlike a stepper its just a single phase motor 110 volt or 24 volt .
