    Default Coin Op Pachinko Refinished!

Since I brought the Coin op to my apt I have had time to work out the bugs and do some finishing touches.

The wood laminate on the case was giving out so instead of building a new case I decided to try the stick on laminate to cover the old worn out case.

I used black on both the case and stand that I built so that the machine fit with my gameroom decor this also gives the appearance of one single unit (machine/stand)

I left the machine face with its wood laminate intact as it was in good condition and it kept that warm look while playing.

The stick on laminate worked great!!! Now the machine looks like its brand new.

I had to take pics because you guys know how much I love this machine.

In taking pics of the machine I realised how out of control my apt is with all of the Vintage machines. Once they are all refurbished I will have to find a home for them.

I have restored one of the 3 new Vintage machines.
The Nishijian with the Bird theme.

It turned out to be more work than I thought as the dirt was unbelievable!!!

The machine was missing the wire that the shooter handle engages to load balls into the shooter area.

The jackpot mech was all out of wack. It needed a longer pushrod then what was on it for the mech to have full travel to enable it to work? Not only that but the SeeSaw was unbalanced for some odd reason.

Working untill the wee hours I coudnt get to a store to buy the wire to form the 2 pieces that I needed.

Once I get started on something I hate having to wait to finish so I looked around my apt for some wire. Hanger wire was too thick, A notebook that was lying in a drawer had a sprial WIRE bounding!!!

It took awhile to straighten it out but it did the job just fine 1 new pushrod and 1 Ball loading wire. LOL

A few nuts added to the seesaw pushrod for weight and the balance problem was solved!

9volt battery mounted, new lights, new wire all the usual stuff pin polishing and tons of cleaning.

Voila a Vintage Pachinko lives again!

I have posted pics of the New Coin Op Case and the havoc that the 3 new Vintage machine are causing with my space LOL

Wont be long before the Coin Op vid is finally made!

How do you stay married? Is that a kitchen range you have machines stacked on and in front of? My wife is intolerant of machines along one wall of the dining room, even though she knows they will be elsewhere soon. Every photo you post of a room that has a glimpse of second room reveals the second room is full of machines! You're a lucky guy to find someone like her!
