    Default Powering the machines

Do you guys leave your pachi's on all the time or shut them off at night? Is it ok to cut the power at the surge instead of opening each case and shutting them off that way.

i only turn them on when playing,

power strip is best way to shut off, when you use switch inside the power supply or transformer is still on in standby mode.

there is a chance of overheating :-(

I used to leave them on all the tiem, but when i had 7-8 of them it really adds up on your bill. I still leave them on alot, but turn them off 3or 4 nights a week! I really dont play them much at all anymore for that matter! Im actaully down to just a spin luck and a Dragon Dice. The Spin luck has a bad power supply so its shut off for now. THe Neo and Hanabi are basically sold. Ive got mor ein the garage than in the house.

I keep mine on a strip and turn them off when not in use. Knowing that electricity means heat and heat means death, I try to only fire them up when I want to use them.

I use an UPS unit on the pachislos and pachinkos. I use the switch on the UPS unit to turn them on and off. I leave them off when not playing them.

If I would leave all of them on at one time the needle would spin of the meter. It would cause a glow in outer space, like a landing light.

I use power strips on each machine.

I have part of it, but I am at a quandry as to which board to send what I have thus far. She has been swamped and I am not sure how much we can expect from her this year. Hopefully she will open up her schedule next semester. I was waiting for the completed page before I worried where to send it.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

I guess we did throw a kink in the works with this one. Maybe you should start a poll from the people who bought in and see where they want it to go?

I'm not sure if they're all here or not though. Who all bought in?

I am sure there is a list somewhere of who bought in. As far as I am concerned you can post it both places just as long as the donaters get the unwatermarked versions. I just would like to see something on this or donate the money to a good charity and be done with it. It has been a long time on this and like Davis says we probably already know it all anyway.

Across the tracks is dead, no one will see it, better here, I put in bucks.
I would guess all those who paid the majority are here, if not all.

I run up to 12 machines on one 15 amp circuit. I did some test with a WattsUp Pro (just like the meter you had but also records the data and interfaces to a PC).

The only thing you have to worry about is the turn on surge. 8 machines draw 16 amps very briefly at turn on, but drop down to 5 to 6 amps at idle. So my 12 machines on a circuit might be a problem if I didn't stagger the turn on. I guess I could actually have a few more than 12 on a circuit based on the idle current. But you want to have a little extra capacity available in case several people end up in a bonus round at the same time. Also there's usually one or two other things, like lamps, plugged into any given circuit.

In my game room all the outlets were origionally on one circuit. I did some rewiring to split the load up a bit so I now have 4 different circuits available plus a separate one for the ceiling lighting.

I used to pop circuit breakers all the time. Now it only happens if I forget to turn off a bank of machines when I turn on the fog machine and computer controlled disc lights (the lights draw 5 amps and the fog machine, when its heater kicks in, draws another 5.)

You need a karry-okie machine to make it complete.

The instructions that came with my machine said to ONLY turn it off and on with the internal toggle switch. Don't know why that would be? I would prefer to put it on a power strip with an on/off switch. :-?

Use a power strip that would save your transforer inside.
I use them on all mine, and send them out with all machines I sell.

I have around 40 set to play and I use them to on all my Pachinkos Too!
