An afternoon watching Bradford City

I thought i'd share with you all one of my other loves, which is watching my local soccer team - Bradford City.

The post is also a little test for something else I am planning to do in a couple of weeks.

I realise most people on here will have never heard of this soccer team as we currently play in a very low league division. Some people may remember us though if I mention that we were the unfortunate club to have a terrible fire at our stadium during a game many years ago.

Anyway here I am waiting at the train station to cstch the train into town ready for a 3.00pm kick off against Darlington.

Well it is now 14:48 here and I am now in town, with a short walk to the stadium. Not sure how this picture will turn out, but you can see the stadium in the distance.

Well it is halftime at the game now and the good news is that we are not losing. Currently we are on a run of 5 straight defeats.

Well the game is over now and I am sat on the train back home. The game finished 0-0, which is not a bad result given our current form. The other team were also 2nd in the table, so I'm reasonably happy.

The last picture is of the memorial to the 56 people who lost their lives at Bradford City during the fire. May they rest in peace.

Spent the afternoon in Lincoln at least there were 2 goals scored by Lincoln City players, and a BIG turn around in form for the Imps, first point since I can't remember when. Yes just a draw as one was an own goal but at least it was a lovely sunny day. I am sure Chris will agree you have to go through the lows to enjoy the highs.

And I spent the afternoon watching my team (Oxford United) in a very very dull 0-0 draw with Woking.

I spent the afternoon watching my son's football team (American style) get their butts kicked 36-0! Last year our team took the local championship... this year we have yet to win a game. Last year was much more fun, but I will continue to sit there every week and cheer on my favorite team in all my Mom gear!!!
