    Welcome,

I find cotton ball work the best, no cutting or sodering
just lossen the four screws and use a Qtip to push in cotton balls, try four and work up from there.

You should never unplug the speaker and run the machine, it can burn up the ampi-phire in the machine, no load.

Not enought coffee in my fingers for them to see what they are typing.

Thanks. I will never do that again. I had no idea. Good thing I didn't mess anything up.

The cotton balls work best for me, in conjuntion with the vol. switch.

a little playing around and wala! you got a quiet machine. and fun to play.

I put in the cotton balls and it does muffle some of the bass, but man, when you get a bonus game it is still crazy loud. I can't wait for my switch to come.

The only thing I can figure is the Japanese must be totally deaf people. They way they stack those machines in the parlours and no carpet to absorb the noise and still the low setting will shatter glass.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

Maybe the bolted to the floor pachislo parlor chair is designed to put your head at the perfect hight so the sound is not that bad coming off the machine, and the loudness is designed to get attention from everyone around so they must sit in this chair so they are not bombarded with noise.

Nope the reason they can take the loud noise is because they have smaller ears...

    Sorry about the above post.
The voices in my head took over again, and felt they had something earthshattering to share, and as usual, since they live in a small space and don't get out much, had not a clue as to what they were thinking.
Of course it has nothing to do with the bolted down chairs, as most people are of different heights, therefore making that assumtion completely wrong.
I'd have to go with the more logical conclusion, and agree with Lew, they have smaller ears. :smt025
