Always been Happy with Gaku... but...

I ordered just a Neo Pulsar Belly glass (no big deal) it was just for those light boxs I am starting to make... the thing game in between 2 pieces of cardboard, that was good... now the bad:

One ends of the card board had NO tape on it, so I was like how did this thing not just slide out in shipping, well it turns out it was taped to the card board then sandwhiched with the other piece of cardboard... bad thing was all the packing tape was across the back of the belly glass, accross the serial #'s and the other paper stamp on it, so it torn them up pretty bad. I was glad it did not rip the paint of the back of the belly glass too.

Maybe there is a new packer there?? Oh well, at least I got it I guess...

I have bought several machines from him and never had any sort of problems before.

Have you not tried contacting Him yet??

Perhaps this was a little oversight and if you let them know
they might be able to remedy the situation for you and for future purchasers

No, I havent had the time... been very busy (that's whay I have not been on here in a while... I just got it on Friday (Which was the day I was gone all day getting that new Pirates Pin). And then I have been busy using my saw making the boxes for the bellys from Luckdog and the one from Gaku.

I mean it worked, but just not what I am used to getting when I always deal with him being the best that I have ever found. Even the glass on back was all black finger printed very badly, I tried windex and it would not take it off either.

Oh well.

Well, maybe it's just me, but I would always contact the seller of anything first
to let them know I was disappointed...

Sometimes things can go wrong, it's not a perfect World,
but I'm sure feedback good or bad is very important to a company,
especially one that you have previously been happy with...

I agree... I just was suprised that that used that big 2" packing tape all over the painted sides and serial, etc.

He was doing me a favor and sent it to me for $10, although I did'nt expect what I got (finger print stains and tape) but none the less I am not dissing Gaku!

Gaku stops in here frequently, so he may already be aware. This sounds like something he would want to know anyway, so he can adjust his method in the future. I'm sure all of us would hate to deal with that type of 'sticky' situation... I hate adhesive residue, especially if it may damage the original purchased piece.

when I sent some out, I taped them together first, but only put tape on the front of bellyglasses and none over the stickers.

making a custom box for shipping them was a project

Yep I liked that box! I do things like that all the time when I sell something and the box is too big so I cut it to fit, etc. (save on those crazy shipping charges!!)

I also like re-using those air filled bags, they work great for certain applications... sometimes I place something in between 2 and just tape the thing like crazy!!

I am trying to think of which belly glass to do next or to do something different from my typical square box with a light in it. Don't get me wrong my 1st 2 are cool but I have to do something over the top!!

I just won a "white" version of Tomb Raider on EBay from Gaku (in order to develop a new autostop w/ credit-add) but when it was delivered it had the regular version upper and belly glass. (It did arrive in great shape though.)

After contacting them, they apologized and quickly FedEx'd me the replacement glass. Great service from Gaku and Eric!
