Default Backside, ballpath, and ball cleaning

Strangely my subject works as well here as it would in a Craig's List adult personals ad...

    ...so yeah, let's talk about...

Backside cleaning and the ballpath plastics. Not sure if ballpath is a technical term but I like it. Would compressed air alone work to get a lot of dust out? I'm seeing streaks of slime build up right near the end of the path and the control mechanism for payouts is located- which has been jamming a lot suddenly. Should I unscrew the ball path plastics and use some novus plastic cleaner or something???

So this brings us to my bal...

...ok my SPHERES! What's a good way to clean em and polish em up real nice? I just got 2000 more silver spheres and they are pretty dull and dirty - guess that's why they were so cheap. Put em in a bucket and swish em around??? or get some jeweler / gem workers hardware? I want em to look great cause these machines are half entertainment, half artwork in my home.

Dissassemble the pathways and clean with windex. Use Q tips for the hard to reach spots.

I put my spheres (about 200 or so) in cut up pairs of my wife's nylons (tights are stronger) and tie them at the end I put in the spheres and stop before the nylons "run" about the size of an grapefruit, and tie that off as well. Then I put the little "bags" in the top level of the dishwasher and run them on the longest/hottest setting, and don't forget to use the dishwasher soap.

I DO NOT DRY THEM IN THERE.

I remove them after the cycle is complete, but before the drying starts, and dump them, still hot, on towels. Then I put another towel over them and roll them around a little.

The result is that they look awesome, and no more sticky feeling (if you handle them a lot they do get kind of a sticky feel to them.

If they are scratched... A rock tumbler, medium grade crushed English walnut shells (abrasivedepot.com or Petco) and the Arby 1/3 1/3 1/3 rule 24 hours later, blindingly shiny balls.

and now... my shiny pachinko ball poem...

    AHEM ! (cough, cough)

Balls Balls Balls so shiny and clean
look really great in my pachinko machine

I use CLR mixed in real hot water.

swirl the balls around real good for a min, rinse well in plain hot water.

dry with a cotton towel, i usually spread them on the towel and roll them around.

then let air dry for awhile

No, he just didn't get any from slotusa...

I like the dishwasher method but I'd be afraid of the nylons breaking and balls going everywhere I don't want them, so it's into the silverware tray for me.

I like to hold each and every sphere in my hands and gently rub away any dirt or rust on the chrome surface. Than I place each Sphere lovingly into a bed of cotton to rest till it is time to rumble thru my machines.

Hey, I've seen what you have in the basement!

A dozen Japanese virgins, lovingly hand rubbing those balls and wrapping each one individually in it's own mink lined ball bag.
