    If I go with some sort of hard wood, I am going oak so when I stain the wood, it matches everything else I have in my house.

    Just need to know how thick/thin it needs to be if it is oak.

    I just used the standard 1" x 4" oak boards on mine.

    1" x 4"??? It looks wider than 4"...

    Either way, how do you like the 1" aspect of it? Too think, or just right?

    I think the size is perfect. (The front board is 1" x 8")

    To wall mount my Lumina machine, I will need to go deeper, but at least I know that 1" thick will be good. Thanks!
