Default Hi all! New to the hobby and ran across this..

Hi everyone! Let me start by saying thanks. I have been reading ALOT of posts on here and decided to buy a Super Blackjack for my game room (arriving Thursday). If I like that one I might be looking at a King Camel (all these are based on your recommendations to others). My wife likes the Wheel of Fortune slot in Vegas, which lead me to the Spin Luck Pachislo, which lead me here (where I learned that there would be no way in heck I would be able to get a Spin Luck - ha ha).
Anyway, I was looking at my local classifieds and came across someone selling a Pachinko machine for $35. I can't link tto their picture, but it looks something like this one (but a little older): http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...%3D1%26hl%3Den
I have never played Pachinko, but I thought the newer ones looked fun. Can anyone tell me if this is worth the $35? I am just curious if you all think the old ones are good for a gameroom.
    Thanks.

I would look at the machine if the owner will let you. Give it a spin and if it is in good condition grab it. Vintage machines are fun too and if it does need some work there are members here to help.

As far as a Spin Luck, Otis has three for sale. Look for the thread he posted.

    to PachiTalk T_guns!!

All my Pachinkos are of the Modern 'all singing - all dancing' type,
but I would love to get my hands on a Vintage one at the right condition & price...

That seems a good price for one, but you might want to take a closer look at it,
or ask for some Photos of the playfield in detail and the back of the machine,
just to make sure it is in good condition and no major parts are missing...

There are quite a few knowledgeable Members here (not me unfortunately )
who could assist you with what to look for when buying a Vintage...

Hey, welcome. I am fairly new here, but not to pachinkos... I had what is now called a "vintage" pachinko when I was about 10 years old. I think that my parents sold it at a garage sale, or gave it away or something... So then, 7 years ago, I picked up my current pachinko. A "Crazy Combat" with the LCD screen, lights and sound that work (the vintage had places for lights, but no power as back then people didn't convert them to US power requirements).

Now, I am looking to move to the next level and get a Star Wars. I will be selling my Crazy Combat soon for a good price, so if you want something a little newer than the vintage, let me know. If not, and the vintage one works out, then that is awesome. $35 is pretty cheap for some good entertaining fun!!!
