    It allows you to connect the LCD display output from a Sankyo Lumina frame pachinko machine to a VGA monitor. So you can see the video from your pachinko on a bigger screen.

    It's a relatively simple bit of electronics, and is one of the circuits I've been meaning to have a go at building, but never got round to it...

    The LCD panels in the Sankyo machines work at VGA resolution (ie 640x480) and use the same display timing. So all you need is a few components to get the sync signals to the levels needed by the VGA monitor, and three 6 bit digital to analogue converters for the colour signals.

    If anyones interested in designing one themselves, do a datasheet search for a Sharp LQ080V3DG01 LCD panel, and you should get all the signal levels and timing information you need
