I've been watching a lot these lately (just getting into these as I have no room for a real machine) and was wondering what the average price *should* be on these units. I recently grabbed the one listed in post #488 for $50 shipped before I found/joined this site. I suppose (based upon reading some posts here) that maybe I should have waited until one popped up that was far less but it seems all of these recent listings are coming in at $40+ to start. I don't regret my purchase as it really is in beautiful, like new condition (except the box) with all the balls and would really like to start grabbing some of the other Epoch variations (watching most of those currently listed). Is $50 for one of these in nice condition really a bit high? Just curious, thanks.

I don't think $50 shipped is too bad if it was complete.. I personally just don't think that $50+ BINs with $20 shipping is worth it when I've seen perfectly good ones end with no bids at $.99-$9 with $11 shipping..

From what I have seen the past 6 years is that there is no Epoch version (flat with white balls, fixed tray orange with white or metal balls, red or brown folding tray and Jumbo brown fixed try) that really sells for more than the others.. Maybe the Jumbo brown one is listed a little higher sometimes..Even the Disney and Japanese versions have gone for pretty low prices I think..

Since regular pachinko balls work in most of them I think the most important thing to look for is that it has its feet..

To me, I think that one with box, balls and feet is worth between $20-$30 with $10-$20 shipping.. So when I mention high prices its usually based on this and I'm usually not even including the shipping when I mention a high price..

I'll end this rambling by saying that, at least to me, even if you pay $100 for a broken one, as long as you're happy with your purchase and having fun, thats all that matters!!

Wow, you must live in cramped conditions.

I started collecting pachinkos lately because I have no room for a full sized pinball machine nor could I afford one. I can fit 4 pachi's againt the far wall of my bedroom just fine though. As far as affording a pinball, I have to make a confession, since starting my pachi addiction, I've more than paid for a basic entry level pinball machine.

Let's see:
$175 to purchase and restore my Nishijin 'A'
$75 for my Hanemono
$375 for My Star Wars
$400 for my Yamato 1
$220 for my Yamato 2 Cell.

$1245!!! Yikes... Still don't have the room for a full sized pinball...Yeah...That's it...
