All pachinkos follow a general path of action and this will base you in an mind set to grasp what works how like a fevef.

The Hopper in the Back of the machine does need to have balls in it. These are the "winning" balls. Each time a ball lands in any of the pockets (except for the bottom hole) it will pay off a certain number of balls.
If the hopper is empty, there will be a red light (round) at the top right of the machine. Once balls are added, the machine remembers all the wins you had and starts paying off. the red light will go off when the hopper has balls.
Most people will play the machine with about 1500 or more balls.

As for the where, The balls will flow into the middle tray. if that get's full, they will then come out of the bottomn tray (the one with the trap Door.

    Welcome to the Dark Side!!

I'm only laughing because we have had Pachinkos for over a year now and just last night,
someone (not me!!), lifted one and forgot to take the balls out of the front tray first...
so whilst lifting it he must have knocked the front button that empties the tray...

I think the ball dump on the floor is a rite of passage for all who choose the path of the silver sphere.
