Default How do I fin the brand?

How do I find out who the maker of my packino is or what brand it is? I searched Pachitalk, and got lost a few times, and I know my machine is a card reader. I searched the museum pictures and didn't see it, or I missed it. It is a Las Vegas style machine.

I also thougtht I seen a list of pachinko dealers on the site, but then again may have confused that for the list of brands there are listed in the pachinko library!

    Thanks!

    Beth

Maybe you could post the name of the machine, one of the other members would know the manufacturer.
Or if you don't know the name, maybe post a picture.

I seem to remember that in your first post you said that you had bought a 'Viva Las Vegas' pachinko from eBay. This sound like one of the names that Texas Auction makes up for their eBay adds.

Looking at their recently completed listings it sounds like you've most likely got a machine manufactured by Takeya called 'CR Vegas Casino & Resort'.

The official manufacturers page (in Japanese) is...

    http://www.p-takeya.co.jp/vegas/n_index.html

You might not be able to read much about it from that page, but you should be able to recognise if it's the right one by the pictures!

Talking Re: How do I find the brand?

How did you do that??? I search all over and could not find it!! Seriously, how did you know "how and where" to search? I knew to look under various names, but didn't know how to input the Japanese characters, any suggestions? I plan on copying and pasting what I can from that link into a translator to learn more about my machine.

I did purchase from Texas auctions through ebay, but am looking for other dealers as well as I NEED another pachinko!!

    Many thanks!

He's one of our 'smart' members. We're all pretty smart, but if Daverob can't figure it out, we probably can't either.

As it sounded like the kind of name Texas Aucrion uses, I just looked at their past auctions to find a decent picture of the whole machine.

Seeing the word 'Vegas' on the top of the playfield, I figured that it was likely to be part of the game name. So I did a search through the lists I made of games, manufacturers and frame styles (from when I was designing and testing the Card Reader Emulator Dongles) for the japanese spelling of the word 'vegas' (ベガス [be][ga][su]).

The only match I found was listed as having a Takeya 'Sports Car' frame style, so off I went to the Takeya website to see if the photos looked the same, and my task was complete

I plan on copying and pasting what I can from that link into a translator to learn more about my machine.
That won't be that easy, as most of the Japanese text is part of the graphics, so can't be cut and pasted into an online translator. These seems to be increasingly more common on the manufacturers websites, as they try to improve the presentation of the information.

Hopefully some of these links to the Japanese pachinko revew sites will help with what you're looking for (the first two don't have much information, but the last one is much better). You can feed these links through the Google Translate Page and try to understand the pseudo english output if your Japanese isn't quite up to it
