Default New Member of the Portable Pachinko Club!!!

After seeing Tulsa's wonderful Portable Pachinko I really wanted to get one. Within a day one was posted on Ebay what luck I thought so I bid on it and won.

I am now a member of the Portable Pachinko club with the fine machine Derupachi7 by TOMY

It runs on 3 batteries 2 D and 1 AA

It has an on /off switch a Game timer and Score keeper

The ball shooter works just like that on a full scale machine.

A ball in the top center pocket triggers the Reach which gets the Reels spinning.

Like a Pachislo, You stop the reels with a stop button on the lower left of the machine. Unlike a Pachislo the stop Button stops all of the reels at once

It has music and lights and is a really nice little machine.

I was having a hard time getting good pics but I hope these will do . I also threw together a really quick vid that didnt come out to well but it gives you an idea of the machine.

Hi, just wondering, how much did you pay for it on ebay?
    How much are these worth?
I have one from my childhood and I am thinking of putting it on ebay.
Also a TOMY Derupachi7 Pachinko Machine, but mine is white.
    Thanks.

Only one way to find out what it's really worth.....let the market decide! The most I have paid for a toy pachinko was around $35 for a mint 1970's Epoch one still in the box.....the one you describe is more rare and has more features, maybe $40-$60 range? Somebody might see it and HAVE to have it; and start a bidding war! Keep in mind you can get a REAL modern pachinko for little more than $50-75 if you look hard enough on craigslist. Who knows, it may bring more...toy collectors have pushed up some vintage toy prices on Ebay to ridiculous levels IMO. How is the condition? Is the box included and in good shape?

I believe that Tomy is one of those companies that has a crazy engineer locked up in a rubber room. They occasionally go by and exchange food for blueprints and drawings of insane mechanisms. They made a toy pinball machine called American Pinball that featured 2 pop bumpers, scoring, and a place where the ball went under the playfield, rang up points, then got kicked back out on to the playfield in another location. The whole thing was run by a single electric motor with a long string of plastic gears, levers, and linkages that would make Rube Goldberg proud. But they also know how to cheat to cuts costs. For example, the last 3 digits of the scoring were tied together and only had 4 or 5 positions. So it started at 000, advance once to show something like 197, again to show 368, then 582, then 795, then back to 000.

I suspect your pachinko machine is similar. Pretty neat. I'll keep a lookout for one. I'd love to see how it works.
