A good place to start would be by contacting American Syscom (pachislo.com).

We sell 20ft & 40ft containers & are based out of Wisconsin. We also sell less than a container load too! You can try to import yourself but there is a lot to learn and know before hand.

    If I bought even a 20ft.

My wife would draw and quarter me and than tear off my head and stuff dirt down my throat.

But other than that, it would be cool to get them raw and go from there.

    Arby:
    -you already have a containerload!

    Rknarr:
'Importing' the container is easy. It's basically as easy as:
    1) pay the exporter
    2) wait ~30 days
    3) container shows up at your door

You will need a customs broker at this end; usually the exporter will recommend one for you.. You can try and do the customs paperwork yourself, but it's really not worth it.

How many people do you end up paying? 2? The customs folks and the exporter? Do they give you a net 30 or do they want it all up front?

And what do the customs fees typically run?

I am not going to buy one, but others may want to know these questions.

I'll pay the premium to you guys for doing all the leg work.

Also, in case anyone doesn't know pachislousa has a website with what I feel are very competitve prices on Pachislo's. http://www.pachislousa.com

Never done pachislos, but I've imported containers of electronics.

How many people do you pay?

    1. The person selling you the machines (exporter)
    2. The sea freight company (unless the exporter is taking care of that for you.)
    3. Your customs broker. This includes their fees, the duty to the U.S. Government, bond charges to an insurance company.

Do they give you 30 days? Unlikely unless you have amazing credit and this is going to be a long term relationship. When 2 people that don't know each other ship goods from one county to another typically payment is done through their banks by irrevocable letter of credit. This means your bank promises to pay once they produce suitable documentation that the product has been shipped and/or received. This way they are sure they will get paid, and you don't have to send them money in advance. You will need to have a suitable line of credit with your bank, or give your bank the cash up front.

What are the customs fees? The fees are usually pretty small. It's the duty you have to worry about. On the stuff we import the duty is usually less than 5%. But you need to check with your broker for the duty rate on pachislos.

As I understand it a 40 ft container is 480 machines.l A 20 ft is 240. Of course you don't have to fill a container. But you do pay the same total for freight, so with a partial container the freight cost per machine will be higher. My guess would be you'd need at least 200 machines in a 20 footer for it to make sense.

if you go to pachislousa.com they show some pictures of what the machines look like when they arrive and then what would be needed to get them looking new-er.

Lets chip in and buy a container full and put them on Ebay as is with photos from the shipping list ,at a 1% mark up IE cost 50.00 sell for 100.00 = 1%, a good selling markup, make us all enough to buy all we want , excep Arby and 400 others that have a zillion each, Don

dlowery a 1% markup would make a 50 dollar machine sell for 50.50 i think u mean 100 percent, but i'd be willing to go in on a container and each person take like a couple of machines that they want from the container
