Is price an object? Lord of the Rings would be a neat theme, but is expensive!

I like my Batman, but I have only hit the big jackpot one time in the 3 months I have owned it!!! :smt091

Tulsa tells me I need to pull my pins apart to get more action. I am unfortunately starting to believe him.... :smt089

I love both of the ones I have. No real preference. They're both a blast!

Yes bend them! You're not playing for cash or a tournment! It's for fun. Have some fun with it!

Do you want a auto-matic shooter or Semi-auto shooter ?

    auto-matic shooter
will shoot up to 80 balls a min., you just twist the shooter. You will need a lot of balls, around 1,500 to play without stopping to feed the buckets.
A lot of lights and sound, flashy
    $200+ (and shipping)

Semi-auto shooter: where you shoot each ball, very tiring over the long haul. 500 balls will usaly be eniugh to play with.
Mineal lights no sound, nice quiet
    $50 to 100 (and shipping)

    I hope this helps

Check out the Pachinko Museum, that way you will get up to speed on the different models and check the lincs with each one.

Than it will make more sence what info you get from members.

    Have fun

Go onto ebay and see if anything catches your eye. If it's on ebay, there's a good chance I have set it up in the museum. You can get a better idea of what your considering.

If you find something that isn't listed in the museum, tell me what it is and if you've see a pic of it. I'll find it and up it up for you with all the info I can come up with.

Not that I've seen. I would imagine it's a popular model and that means it's going to be slow finding it's way across the ocean.

Lord of the Rings is pricey but worth it. I absolutely love mine. The fever modes are just mesmerizing.

Armageddon (Fever Zeus) was very cool too. Much more reasonable, has a fun space arcade theme feel to it as well as English speech. TA has them in Red now I think.

Fever King is in same cabinet as LOTR and looks to be a great non-LCD model. It uses overlays I believe to give several variations to the wheels.

Popeye is another new one that is pricey but looks really nice. Waiting on Arby to get a review :-)

There are 2 I am waiting for, CR Sonic the Hedgehog and the 20" LCD Hanabi Hyakkei type model. Those are 2 I would pay the price for. Although I have no idea where I would put them. I had to get rid of Armageddon because I only have room for one 'chinko.

With my old machine I used to have, playing was with the flip lever, it made a great deal of difference on the payouts depending on how good you were as a 'flipper'. Do most/all of the newer flashy machines such as Apollo 13 etc. only do automatic where there is no user skill needed? I'm going to buy a machine soon I hope(was looking at the 13), but this kind of turns me off as if I'm not even needed to run the machine, just clamp a vise on the knob and watch tv?? Okay sarcasm there but it it like that?

Should I get one with the older handles or early twist knobs to keep the skill factor? I want flash and sound, but not at the expense of playing.

    Thanks!

    John

the new machines are hand contact sensitive, you have to have your hand on ball shooter to shoot balls,

you can adjust how hard or soft you shoot the balls, and can also shoot one at a time.

there is some skill involved getting the ball in the center pocket.

and nothing can beat the light show and music of the new machines.
