Yes, They are currently legal. I have only seen 3 different ones. If I remember correctly there is a sinbad and a fighting one other than this one.
Make sure you have lots of spheres, 5 spheres is equal to 1 token. So, you need about 1500 around. They are in a pachinko case but are a bit more front heavy than a regular pachinko if you can believe it.

One for the front and one to set the Skill level.

So far, I've only seen 3 different machines, the Caribbean Pirate, CRP Kagetsu Densetsu R and there is one other made by Sankyo, very limited production.

I dont really get the point of Palot at all. I have yet to go to the dark side and get a pachinko (probably my next christmas present). Would understand if somehow the balls got played on to a game field with the reels also in use, but to be honest i see these as quite pointless. Why not get a pachinko with video reels for the fruit reels?? i dont get it but im sure somebody could tell me what i need to get???

there are parlors that only are set up for pachinkos and spheres

these machines fit in the frame of a pachinko mounting and by using spheres

this alows a small parlor to offer a pachislot without the big cost out lay to install them and the token system to feed them.

No, just not a lot of call for the token machines in small parlors

Just think of the cost for tokens, token cleaners, token counters, token dispensers (we're talking new, not used - what self respecting parlor owner would use used?). Counters and dispensers can easily be a couple of g's each, a cleaner several, then the cost of the pachislo's (about 2-3 g's each new).

Maybe you don't have much call in your area (older players) for pachislo, this would fill the need with no change in infrastructure.

Then again, only Sankyo's done very well with it, and only for a couple of designs. Altus/Atom's is the only machine of any style they've ever made.

A Palot in of itself is just a really wonderful machine regardless of the existance of the other types.

If you like machines that make noise, light up, reward you, frustrait you and bring smiles then I guess you can say that is the point.
