    Default Sammy (Bonus Factory Tour)

Post your thoughts about Sammy brand machines.

    Praises and dislikes!

I will start off by saying some feel all Sammy's have a "squeal" to them!

If you haven't visted the Sammy Factory tour it is a must see!

Agreed, Smaay makes alot of machines with video screen, which make them quit eattractive, but the all do have a squeal. I usually try and stay away becasuse of this.

Is the squeal in the speakers or reels?

Speakers, they mount two tweeters right next to their vidoes and a mid-range in the bottom. The only way I know of to eliminate this is to install volume controls on them. All three of them.

I remember making my wife squeal like a pig.

I steprd on her toe in boots, she one leged danced for half an hour, that leg still has a bigger mussle.

Sammy, good front, she like the cheer leader in my high school alot on the out side, but miss alined in the inside, dead air space miss used.

I have a Sammy Aladdin. When I fired it up, I heard the squeal. After deafening myself for a few minutes while playing it, I went looking for information on volume controls. In the short term, I ended up turning the volume control down, and unplugging the bottom speaker. Since then I've designed a "proper" volume control for the bottom speaker (similar to the resistor "ladder " from dc8.org, but with a 25 ohm pot in parallel with the speaker to give knob style volume adjustability while still maintaining the proper impedance to the amp. I still need to figure out what size pot I need to do the upper speakers, the 25 ohm pot didn't have any effect at all, still louder than the boss likes.

Other then the sound challenge, I like the machine a lot. It seems to be a sturdier build than my Magic Pulsar.
