Default Just bought old Pachinko Machine...

Hi, I just bought from a garage sale today for $5 USD, a pachinko machine, other than knowing what it is sort of... here is what is says it is:

Nishijun Shiroi Kamome Super DX, on the back I found where it is says Nishijin-Sophia.

It seems to be mechanical, but has electrial things, but did not come with a plug to put in wall, etc...

i can make it work, but there are two places that requires me to intervene to get the balls flowing, and I can only paddle out about 6 or 7 balls to play, then open and jack with it to get more.

Ok, so $5, it needs some help, maybe also some electrical power too.

I am in the Dallas, TX area, can anyone recommend to me where I can take this thing and get some work done on it, or find the missing elecrical hook ups?

    Many thanks, Jay

Ok, to add to this with a quick update, I have learned that if you losd it up with enough balls (even those are cool looking), then it all seems to flow ok and it all works just fine mechcanically, no intervention needed!! Also, the electrics, it all seems to be intact, I presume works ok, however, I bought it with no wires and plugs to the wall. Looking at the back, the top right cornor appears to have the place where power would come in, pershaps in two formats, a tiny 3 prong plug, or 3 seperate sires in wire crimp/traps, for a lack of a better description. Anyone got some spare parts?? Also, can someone please tell me where to look to get S/N # or other ID numbers to be able to tell me when this thing was made? i'm feeling pretty good about a $5 garage sale purchase just as the whole mechanical aspect of this thigns seems to work!! --Jay

Sophia are vintage models that do not need any power to work, you can use a 9 volt battery to get the lights working for payout and empty balls but the machine works fine with out the lights (it just looks better) As mentioned above pictures would help. If you have any mechanical aptitude at all you can do the work yourself as the machine is probably just dirty and needs some cleaning.

You can also wire up a wall wart type DC adapter.
