It would give you and the Wookie an excuse to stop by my cantina to shoot a few spheres anyway.

    anyway...

    Children...

this weekend, I was mostly watching...

    Laser Discs!!

    Jumanji

    The Crow

    and Batman Forever!!

All are movies I haven't seen for years, and I enjoyed them immensely
    this time around...

I'm pretty sure 'Jumanji' and 'The Crow' had extra footage too

Well just for a laugh I thought I would 'watch' this Laserdisc Player on ebay...

Much as I appreciate Laserdisc quality, I thought it was a little overpriced, so imagine my surprise to find the Auction
has ended early with a Buy It Now!!

Maybe its Jano and he wants to send a fake $5,000.00 Western Union money order.

then have the guy ship it with a real $3,900.00 money order

I had to resurrect this thread about laserdiscs...I was a relatively early adopter of the format and loved it. With a Pioneer Elite tv, a shure surround sound module(hmm, wonder where that is), some NHT speakers and a subwoofer, the neighbors were blown away by the sights and sounds of this newfangled contraption.

But I digress, I have some LD's that are in pristine condition, might have watched them a couple of times each. (damn dvd's ) I would love to offer them to this community. They really aren't worth that much on the open market, so I thought I would put them in the "pachi trading forum" that Sid recently created and see if I could trade for some pachi balls for my 1st pachi that hopefully will be arriving today from Chewy.

Thought I would let you guys know!

    Thanks,

    Ron

I just picked up a Sony laser disk player for $5.00 at goodwill a few days ago, it loads and spins disk, but won't play them

I'll have to play around with it more!!

I have a couple of pioneer players already and around 100 laser disks

I buy cheap laserdiscs at the used bookstore for $1-$5...Its much more fun to buy them now at that price than it was when they were $40 each!!
