    Hi Ang

I may be able to build you a demodulator for the AC3 and fit it inside your machine. I am doing this to mine at the moment but been a bit busy right now to do much about it.

No, I'm into the old vinyl too, I'm converting them and 8-tracks into CD's.

I just restored a 1968 Sears/Sanyo portable stereo AM/FM 8 track recorder. It has a detachable speaker with the power supply in it, the whole thing with batteries weighs about 35 pounds. It has RCA and mini headphone (mic) in and (speaker) out. It also has a 32 watt amp, big headphone jack, built in AC adapter and can run on a car adapter or 9 D bateries.

My parents had the same one without the recorder, it was the first stereo radio we had in the house. I had the front piece with the tuner but did not have the piece with the speaker and power supply. It hooks up but it will not store together because the recorder one is larger and has 2 latches instead of one. But it works too after all these years.

There is just no good new music right now, been digging into the vaults lately myself too.

DVDs are fine, but for a real movie lover like you Tulsa you should look into LDs because there is stuff on LDs that will probably never be on any other format!!

    Plus they are just fun!!

    Maybe you're right.

While I'm at it, I should change and put the forum back to phpbb version 0.8b.

The "ABYSS" LD I have has about a one hour documentary on how the movie was made and what the actors had to endure to to it. Everybody turned blond from the chlorine used to keep the water clean in the reactor containment water tanks.

Well if there's a movie you like that isn't on DVD just LD, having all the new fangled DVD HD BD stuff in the world isn't going to help you much!!

Well in all these years, going from vhs to dvd to bluray, I've not found that movie that's only on LD, so I'm feeling safe.

Well I have 20 year old VHS thats not looking too hot anymore and the only other things they came out on were beta and LD, so having the LDs would be ideal...

plus the extras, endings and commentaries that ar only on or different from DVD...

but the only real reason I like them is because they are fun!!

but now that I know you only like new stuff I guess I'll just keep those classic cars I was going to send you...I mean who wants a 57 Chevy when you can have a nice new car!!

They are remaking 57' Chevys again, you can now get all the parts or get it already assembled. So are 67' GTOs and 69' Cameros. I heard they are working on 70' Chevelles next. They are officallly licenced by GM.

Can I still get one at the 1970 price

I paid $2,995.99 for my 1969 Camero back in 1969 when I bought it new.
