Default Plastic util. shelving DOESN'T = good pachi stand...help?

Any suggestions for reasonably inexpensive stands for my two machines?

I'm horrible with carpentry so building them would take me about 1,228 days. I'd prefer to see if there was something readily available that folks use that I might be able to get access to.

I searched the forums but didn't find any pertinent information.

    Thanks!

EDIT: As soon as I posted, several links showed in the 'Related Topics' at the bottom of the page. !!!

Ikea has some great stands for $14.99. Hard to beat at that price.

Do you have any reference info? Model name, etc.? Thanks in advance!

I would be interested too! Maybe someone would be kind enough to post a link to the Ikea website page with the stand?

These are cool because they come in different colors. Red looks really cool.

Posted before, but old nightstands can make some exceptional stands. Not only are they sturdy, they provide additional storage for tokens, etc. The best part is, they're cheap! The pair below I bought at a local rummage sale for $5. Solid oak, I added some black paint, wax, and some new hardware. I think I spent less than an hour on each.

    Thanks!

I've also found these two wally world items referenced in multiple other threads, (that somehow miraculously showed up as a result of POSTING this thread!):

    Sauder Utility Cart, Oak

    {MOD: Bolting the pachi to the cart: "http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11244"}

    Sauder TV/VCR Cart, Black
    http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=4529471

...and after some detective work through other threads and the wacky cyberspace I found that apparently this 'Bekvam' cart at Ikea is also a good choice.

I'm interested in any others that folks might know about too.

    Thanks!

I have this and it holds 2 slots nicely:

http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html...sin=B000630N1C Read the specs to see if it's the height that you want.

That runs $100 but sometimes you can get them onsale for $80 (they are also in the stores, that is how I got mine)

It's sturdy but I still beefed up the legs a bit with some L brackets underneath the top.

It might be more then you want to spend but thought I would through it out there

I just made long tables the length of the wall, and 2 feet deep. Used 2X4 framing and 3/4 plywood top. 3 inch screws holding it all together. Screwed to the wall in a couple places.
They now have a nice Dark grey marble looking contact paper on the surface of the tables. Looks sharp.

I am putting together a gameroom and working on putting shelving on the walls to hold my machines. I am using HEAVY steel Stanley 16 inch shelf brackets and putting them on every stud (every 16 inches) with lag bolts. They advertise these brackets as 2 holding 1000 lbs (yeah sure) but they are strong. My question is has anyone else put them on the wall? I am building the wood tops for the brackets this weekend. They seem like they will be plenty strong but thought I would ask if anyone has any experience doing this? Thanks

    Ikea tables as mentioned above.

Not really a game room, just one wall of my den.

So, what sort of chairs do you use with those? Short stools or somethin' of that nature?

(So far, I think I'm going to take your suggestion but I wanna' dope all this out first...)

Right now I use standard height chairs. You can see one of them on the far right. I have a bad back and it's more comfortable for me to play sitting in a chair instead of a bar stool.

I bought the tables you suggested from IKEA. I also purchased the following stools to go along with them:

    http://www.pbase.com/alley/image/23438519

For some reason IKEA doesn't have any reference to them on the website. Perhaps they're being phased out/discontinued.

Thanks VERY much for the assistance.

Yeah, I think the combo of those tables from IKEA along with the chairs, (the ones I've got have black seats), are pretty slick. I'm well on the way to completion of the game room.

On a very, very side note...I'm thinking I'm going to get rid of the 'Terminator' (2004) and see about getting the 'Super Black Jack' that the folks I bought the pachis from had. The 'Terminator' is, for some reason, rather unexciting. That would definitely be a random thought.
