    Default cleaning lcd screen

I have a star wars pachinko and it looks like the inner lcd screen has finger prints on it. I tried to clean the screen when I open the class front. That did not work. It seems like it is within another protective layer. Does anyone have an idea or instructions on how to get into the actual LCD screen? It can be distracting at times. Thanks for your help...:booboo:

Do a photo tear down, take a picture of all you remove, than reverse it and put it back together clean. On the LCD use one of those clean wipes for glasses, does the best job and cuts the static.

Download the Lumina Frame Manual from this thread, and follow the instructions for removing the 'Sub Control Board' (you might also have to remove the 'Main Control Board' for easier access).

If I remember correctly the LCD unit is attached to the pachinko cell by two screws on the right hand side (as viewed from the back of the cell), and then can be removed by sliding to the right and lifting away.

The plastic casing round the screen can then be easily removed and given a good clean.

I had the same on mine. The screen does come out (after removing a lot of the pc boards). Once out, if you have the patience, take it one screw at a time. The screen is in a clear plastic box. Inside, there are two little cable connectors. If you worried about removing them, then don't, they are tiny and fragile. With a very "wringed out", almost dry (but still damp)tissue (just water) I rubbed the screen very lightly. I used a tissue instead of paper towel. and then dried with a tissue.
Replaced all the crews and reinstalled the screen and boards...worked perfectly. The nicest deal about the back of a pachinko, is that it is almost impossible to put the cables back wrong. All the connectors are different.
