Just a newbie...

...who picked up his first pachislo(s) yesterday. I haven't even had time to set em' up at home yet.

I got a 'Red, White, and Blue' and a 'Terminator' 2004. I picked em' both up for a total of $200. Seemed like a good deal based on the prices I've seen from online retailers.

I'm finally getting around to putting together the game room I've always wanted. I built my kids a MAME machine about a year and a half ago and it's finally gonna' have some company.

Anyway, I've been lurking about for a bit, reading through dozens of threads and just thought I'd say thanks for all the wonderful information.

I think I've managed to be convinced - by way of the thread reading I mentioned - to avoid adding a pull arm or modifying the machines at this point.

The folks I purchased the machines from had several other functional machines as well. I just didn't have any additional cash to throw around. 'Beast Sapp', 'Aladdin(II)', 'Super Black Jack', and...er, I can't remember the other one.

Anyway, they had approximately 30 more that they hadn't 'fixed' yet. Didn't know if that meant they were defective or just hadn't been looked over to make sure they were functional.

I'm certain that if these continue to work as well as they did when I was looking over them that I'll get some additional ones.

I got 500+ tokens with each of the two machines AND the machines already had the volume control installed in the both of them.

I considered playing sick and staying home from work today to mess around with the machines...but I didn't.

So, I'll have some time this weekend to check these over in greater detail, (I noticed initially that one of the two - can't remember which - had some scratches on the chromed plastic on the side), anything in particular I should check for, worry about, clean up, etc.?

If you're referencing the machines I've got, they're fully functional. If you're referencing the machines from the folks I got mine from, then I'm not sure what the most effective methodology to connect you with em' would be...

the later seems mute since the Seattle, Washington area would cost a mint in shipping and completely out of the question for a road trip ...if you stumble upon some more deals from this personand they need repairs I'm sure we could guide you through some of those repairs that you could do yourself .if you have some electrical experience of course ...
