Default Skill shot? or Let 'em fly?

    Hi everyone,

So I wanted to ask all of the Pachinko Players out there, if you play by shooting continouosly (like I do) or do you "find the groove" and shoot one at a time?

I was just interested to know how you guys/gals prefer to play.

    Thanks,
    RR

I keep firing unless I have 4 banked and am in a reach scene.

I do try to hit the same general area at the top, but make minor adjustments if I'm not hitting the center pocket enough.

Well when I first started out with Pachinko, about a year ago I bought my 'Star Wars', I used to just let 'em fly, the more the merrier!!

Since then I have increased my collection and with each one, I have done the same - just let them Sphericals bounce about like crazy!!

...but I soon found out that every Pachinko is different, and there was fun to be had pitching my skills (ha!!) against each Machine, by firing one ball at a time...I'm convinced this gives more power to each ball and more precise aiming

The first machine I found happy to play this way was TopGun!!

since then, I've found Maharaja is particularly good for this method, as being 'both sided play' I can use my skill (Ha!! again!!) to aim for which side or pockets I fancy...

I don't think there is a right or wrong way to play Pachinko, just whatever feels right and fun at the time!!

btw it has crossed my mind many a time, that I should in fact be looking for a Vintage to add to the collection...

Since I'm not paying to use the balls, I let em rip, but do make precise changes to the shooting knob constantly. I actually wouldn't mind being able to increase the shoot rate if I could.

I usually adjust to the "hot" spot on the board and let them fly until I have 4 banked as well - this usually keeps the paddle wheels spinning the same direction and means I am more likely to take advantage of the flippers when they open.

I like to churn 'em and burn 'em unless I have a few banked like lucky said.

I like to find a sweet spot and let them fly but most of my machines won't shoot constant so I find I have to do a lot of constant fine tuning. I also do not stop unless I have 4 banked and am not in a fever, extra or bonus time. I've managed to get a extra 500 on Tiger Mask (that did not count as spins) when 4 spins are banked and it is in a 100 spin bonus round.

You won't be sorry. Even with all the high tech modern machines, I find myself coming back to my Sanyo Vintage. My friends enjoy it very much as well as it is less intimidating yet challenging at the same time.

I vary how I play. Sometimes, I shoot to bank spins, as they are expended, I shoot again. If a reach sequence comes up, I stop shooting to watch. Sometimes I will shoot a 5 to 6 shot sequence, to enjoy watching the carom of the balls against the nails.

Smile Re: Skill shot? or Let 'em fly?

I guess I play about the same as LD with 4 of my modern pachinkos, but since my other 6 moderns have more than one place/pocket to hit to get into or to get through a fever, the shoot in one place thing doesn't work!!

Everyone should try to get at least one different kind of playing modern pachinko (Wing type, etc..) for their collections, there are lots of fun and different kinds out there, you just have to look!!

The Magic Lamp is the only pachinko I have where you have to keep shooting, when you match 3 numbers on the screen you only have a short time to get a ball in the second pocket on the left side or you lose your fever

I let em' fly for a while, and if I'm not doing well I'll start using Skill Shots. Depends how much time I have to play!
