Question about dongle

My Pachinko machine called (Califorina Sun) has the connector for a Dongle, but none is installed to it. The ball shooter works fine. Arbycoffee said the following,
"But some machines are by-pass on the Circuit Board and don't need one".

So I wanted to purchase a card reader form this site but do not know how or if it will work with my machine? I do not have a Dongle to remove and replace with the card reader?
If I install the reader what more must I do to disable the current Dongle?

I believed you purchased that machine from Texas Auctions. You'll probably notice a hole drilled on one of the plastic covers on back. There you'll see where they soldered it to not require a dongle. Unfortunately for this machine unless you want to remove that solder, it won't work for you.

During the beta testing of the card reader emulator dongle, we tested the dongle on a few machines that have been modified like yours so that they don't require a dongle. In every case the card reader emulation functions still worked perfectly.

The only feature that wasn't able to be used was the ability to disable the shooter handle from the dongle (as the modification made sure that it was always enabled). Seeing as this feature was only ever made available on the beta test versions of the dongle just to prove it could be done, and I never found a good enough reason to use it in the final release version of the dongle, there are no differences between using the dongle on a regular machine that needs a dongle, and on one that has been modified like yours.

Of course there is a remote possibility that the modification on your machine may be different to the ones we tested, and the dongle may not work. But if this is the case, I'll be happy to allow you to return the dongle for a refund, and you'll only be out the cost of the postage. On the other hand, you might want keep it as it would make a perfect excuse to go out and buy another pachinko

The Fruit King doesn't need a dongle to work, that's probably why yours doesn't have one!!

I will check the back of my machine for the soldered area. I will still purchase the Dongle, Your correct it does give me another reason to purchase another machine Like I really need another reason. Gotta love pachinko!

Just wanted to let you know that the Dongle I ordered from you arrived today.
I absolutely LOVE it.
It works GREAT on my machine. I know that mine did not have a removable dongle, just the empty connector. You were correct it work just like you said it would. I would highly recommend to any one reading this post that if you love Pachinko, this device is a must.

I hate knowing that there is something on a machine that is not working that should be.
Knowing that there are displays that are supposed to do something and they are not displaying or doing what they are supposed to be doing is driving me nuts.
I feel that my machines are incomplete without the displays and their functions not working. Seeing the dead buttons there on the front of the machines is a constant reminder that I dont have complete machines.
So its Dongle time.

I still cant stand that my Kegetsu doesnt have all of its LEDs lit on the front door ( My next OCD project)
