Fireworks

With the home fireworks getting as sophisticated as they are today, there's really no reason to go to a fireworks show.

In my neighborhood right now they are popping like mad from every conceivable direction. Very impressive.

My neighborhood is like a war zone right now.
Someone on the next street has got some really big sh** going off, mine and about 5 other car alarms were going off from the concussions.
Yeah, you don't need to go the community shows with this stuff around.

We set off small stuff for my Mom each year.
She loves fountains. So we usually set off a dozen or so of the larger ones for her and she loves it. This year I got to take some pics.

We went to a friends who lives on a lake down in Texas. We went out on his boat and watched all of the fireworks around the lake. That was really a spectacular show to see from the water. One thing for sure those Texans really out do others I have seen.

It's Kalifornia, they're only banning it between men and women.

They are also banning R134 refill kits for cars and only letting you have one with a mechanics licence. Bunker stock up time again.

But they let you fire off a few thousand rounds from an M60 when you feel like it, so that's ok.

Besides that, it's true, we have so many legislators passing laws, it's clear they are only doing it to justify their own jobs. Starting 5 days ago, I can't hold a phone to my ear to have a conversation while driving. But, nothing prevents me from shaving, getting dressed, or making breakfast while I drive! And damnit! The phone in my ear was perfectly legal 6 days ago!!!

I hate people driving while yapping on the phone as well as the next person, but interacting with passengers is exponentially a greater hazard than the cell phone! Why not ban them???

Time to shut up, before I find a Kalifornia State legislator is a lurker here and proposes a bill to ban passenger seats.

Back to the fireworks theme of this thread. Sorry for the rant...

here they banned talking on cell phones while driving..

you can only do it if you have a bluetooth ear device.

if you use the wired handsfree that come with most cell phones thats not allowed.
Bluetooth sales have gone through the roof the last month...
