I found out that the key rest was change out to a switch. It's the large black flip switch with the white dot on top. Maybe this will help out a little bit.

Were you able to check that switch to see if it is defective. So far from what I have read it should be in the off position for game pay mode. Since we tried it in that position, it makes me believe that it is broken.

How do I test the switch to see if it's faulty or not?

I found the skill stop machine manual that came with this machine. It says push the machine power switch to the off position then push the reset switch to the on position. On LED display once you are at your desired skill levl push and release the handle start knob 6 times this locks the desired skill level in place. Push the reset switch to the off position. Do not turn machine power switch off . Machine should be ready to play. I've done this but doesn't work. What is the yellow things for on the power supply? What's next for me to see if it will work?

That should work.
Does it do anything at all?
Does the payout number go off?

This should not be this complicated.
Where do you live?, maybe there is another member that is close to you and would run by and check it out as a last resort

It didn't do a thing it still has the skill level in the win window. It doesn't say insert medal. I'm in Diamond, Illinois which is just South of Joliet, Illinois. I just am lost now. I've went through these steps and nothing seems to work. Thank you for all the help maybe it will work. At least I hoep so.

That is a little far for me to come take a look at it, I am north of Detroit.

Lets run through this again step by step -

#1 - Main power off, Reset switch on
#2 - Main power on
#3 - Set payout rate
#4 - Depress handle several times
#5 - Reset switch off

Machine should be ready to play

Try it again, try the opposite way on the reset switch if it does not work

I've tried both ways and nothing happens. The skill level is still in the window.

Well my friend,
I am not sure what the hell could be happening there.
I am not sure if this is a bad machine or what, as none of my machines have ever had this problem. (knock on wood)

Maybe another member that is in your area will see this thread and offer to come and take shot at it for a couple of beers or something

Thank you everyone for the help. I guess I'm SOL. I have done everything that this manual says and what everyone else has said and nothing seems to work. Maybe I wasn't meant to get this machine to work. I guess if I can't get it to work then it will sit in my basement. This machine totally has me upset. I have come close to taking a hammer to it, but I didn't.

1 of the yellow switches should be a reset after a big bonus ( I think) not sure about the other. The only way to verify if the switch is working is to use an ohm meter. You would have to remove the power supply & open the case. once you have access to the 2 wires on the switch, you connect the leads to each wire. one way ( on position / off position ) you should have 0 ohms the other infinite. If thats what you get then its good, otherwise its bad. If it is between, you may have to remove 1 wire. If you are electrically handily this is fine, if not then find a friend that is.
