Default Bringing the theme outside the Cell.

    Hi All,

While playing my Star Wars Pachinko last night, I started thinking of ways to improve the Theme of the machine. For some reason, I focused on the Knob. I started to look at it and saw the white ball on the knob and remembered that it is removable (Held in with tree screws if I remember correctly.)

I am thinking of replacing the white ball with something that would be more "Star Warsy" I have several ideas...R2D2's dome, Thermal Detinator, or a droid ball that looks like the one that Luke was practicing with when his blast shied was down.

Has anyone done something like this before? I figure a nice coat of clear epoxy (the kind used for counter tops...I beleve it's call lexel. I have some in the basement)

What do i do for the LOTR and Gamera machine? I'm still thinking about that.

I think the LOTR knob would have to be a big "Eye of Sauron," but I'm not sure what you'd do with Gamera. Unless you made it look like his shell? That's kinda lame though...

The "Eye" was my first though also, Then chage the dile to be the Ring...That may be beyond my abilities though. But I think I will try to do the Eye...Maybe light it up as well.

Gamera could be a turtle's head. LOTR could be Gollum's face or maybe a hairy-ass hobbit foot.
Cool idea if you have the items.

The only thing is it must be comfortable to hold for long periods of time and should have some of those "fin" things that fit between fingers.

A Bosum would look odd on my Star Wars, so I am going to attempt an R2 Dome. I am currently build a cab for my Gamera, Once that is done, I will give it a try.

As for Gamera knob...Since he shoots fire, I was thinking of a fireball.

I have a soft plastic Storm Troopers head that used to be a shampoo bottle top that I got to make a handle out of. Thought the black and white would be perfect with the white Lumina.

I think Vader's helmet would make for a great shooter knob as well, the black would offset the white case nicely.
