*sigh* If I can find some, that is. I'm on the phone with Happ? and they're having trouble. I'm on hold...

    This shouldn't be that difficult.

Nice job finding the lamp size!
    Are the Lamps 24 Volts?
I would love a copy of the Word doc that they sent you.

I printed out the schematic diagrams in the Word doc, so here's additional part information for the bulbs:

    12v 1.5W Lamp
    IN4004 Diodes x12

Still no luck finding these bulbs. I'm not even sure how to remove the bulbs from the extras I got from that store last weekend so I can put the right ones in.

And here's a link to the Word doc:

The link to the word Document for the Flexi-disc schematic did not work.
    Can you re-post it?

Any idea where I might find a service manual or schematics for the entire Spin-luck machine???

    Thanks!

    Fixed.

No, I don't know where to get a service manual.

I don't think the bulbs have any writing on them. I also can't determine if the bulbs come out.

I went to a specialty lighting store yesterday and they are looking into it for me. She sounded confident that they could identify and locate these bulbs. It helped that I had printed out and gave them the Flexi-Disc document. *cross fingers*

UPDATE: The specialty lighting place is being slow. Not that I expected anything at all. But they do have an inventory of over 5,000 bulbs (says Mr. Manager), so it shouldn't be a problem. Brenda, the woman who originally helped me a few weeks ago, reports no luck yet. I wonder if she even looked into it at all.

Anyway, better news. I've been speaking with Ted at pachisloshop.com and I paid him a visit today since his shop is in the area. Nice guy, very helpful and easy to talk to. He had bulbs he thought would fit the Spin Luck wheel and gave me five to try. I purchased 650 or so bi-metal tokens (woohoo!) and a clean and shopped Thunderbirds II (2003) machine with volume controls already installed for $145. It speaks Engrish, which is a plus, and the game play is cool, so I took it. The tokens were $35 and there's a variety of different ones. I'll clean some up and scan them later for posting. There's only one of the bi-metals that has a cool dragon on it and shined up real nice too.

Bad news. The bulb sockets don't fit the wheel, but the bulbs are the right size. Not sure they come out of the sockets either, they have wires on the bottom connected to the metal contacts. So much for that. Ted said come back if they don't work and he will look into it further. He looks to really bust his butt for little profit too and he said he may be getting out of the business because it's too much work. He was showing me how he cleans machines and so forth and we talked while I played T-birds and looked through a big bin of assorted tokens for more unique bi-metal ones (found some too). The cool thing is out of the 650 or so bi-metal tokens, 85% are one kind and then there's an asst. of other 'brands'. The majority tokens sound so close to quarters when dropped on my counter I was laughing. That's a plus (not me laughing, the quarter sound). Of course, quarters sound a tad more 'bright', but there was this other token in the batch (the only one) that sounded even closer. Very interesting. I'm going to see if CLR cleans them up because I'll be damned if I'm going to sit there with my jewelry cloth and clean all of them.

So, since I was impulsive, was $145 an OK price for a Thunderbirds II in really good shape? Doesn't matter, it's nothing compared to the six bills I shelled out for the Spin Luck. Had to reassure the Spin Luck tonight that it was still my favorite though...

As for other leads on these elusive bulbs, no such luck. If I do get my hands on some and can place an order, I'm willing to sell to others at my cost + actual First Class postage. I already have a crapload of bubble mailers and packing crap due to selling stuff on eBay, so it's not an inconvenience. Just let me know after I score some. Maybe Ted can help. He did give me a handful of the regular bulbs to keep on hand too and 1000 tokens with the machine (which I probably should have refused since I'm practically shi..ing tokens now with all I've bought.

Funny! I didn't realize there was dirt on Ted here in the forum. What a lame move to write a cease and desist on a url like that. I would have told him to go pound sand. I wonder if him doing that hurt his business more than it helped? Methinks it probably did.

In any case, he was nice to me, helped me and I got what I wanted.

More mindless drivel. I got one of the bulbs out of the sockets. The lettering says:

    VCH 12V 1.5W

I'm determined to locate these things. Even if I'm talking to the wall in here, at least the information will be on record for someone else to find later.

btw - I noticed that the Thunderbirds regular bulbs are 28V 3W and the Spin Luck's are 24V 3W. Hey wall, are these the only two 'regular' bulbs, or are there more variances? Thanks wall!
