If you get the ones I have, they have resistors in them and should last 20,000 hours or thereabouts. They are direct replacements for the 658 24V bulbs. Besides, they are not on a lot anyway. I use these same LEDs in my buttons in my Vegas slot, which is also made by IGT and has the same 24V bulbs in the buttons (658).

Thats cool, Like I said I used the ones we use in Bally games and it popped in a few seconds. I'll have to ask my buddies at IGT for some of the LEDs they use and try them in the pachis.

You know people at IGT? I have someone in the NLG forum that needs a question answered if you're allowed to ask them technical stuff... No biggie, but since you mentioned.

I also noticed that these LEDs do not get hot at all (mildly warm even after a our of being constantly on) in my Vegas slot, but do get a tad hot in the Spin Luck after a minute or so. Not sure why this is, but since they won't be on for extended periods in the SL, I don't consider it a problem.

The casinos here in Delaware are serviced by four vendors. IGT, Bally, WMS and G-Tech. We all work in the same shop and most of us hang out together. I could ask them anything you want. We all help each other with problems and troubleshot ideas off each other everyday. Just PM me your question and I'll do my best.

The Happ sockets will be a little tight in the board, but work. The bulbs stick out a little farther than the originals, but work. I have a few sockets from my Vegas slot with those bulbs and they're fine, must just be Happ's. The notch is just different.

Yes, let me know if you find the 12V ones, I will want some too. And I'm going to keep the red and blue LEDs in the Spin Luck symbol for now, it looks good.

I thought changing the colors of my Haywire lights made it look warmer.

I used sleeves over the bulbs.

What a mistake LOL. Go back to white bulbs in the SL symbol before you catch flak.

I like the SL symbol the way it was myself.

Funny how we went with Red and Blue Changes.

That's funny. I guess I'm screwed since I've already posted all my pics of the LEDs for the Spin Luck, but I haven't swapped them out yet! I really only liked the way the red and blue looked after I satisfied my curiosity trying all the colors. For some reason, these LEDs get a tad hot in the Spin Luck after a minute or so, but in my IGT S2000 slot, they're barely warm after being on for an hour and they are replacing the same glass 658 bulbs. Have you tried 3-cluster LEDs in your Haywire buttons? They look really sharp. Here's a link to my experiments on the other forum:

    LEDs in buttons again

Nice machine btw, I'm getting ready to buy a Haywire 3C kit for my S2000. Love the Haywire action. And I liked the different colors you tried. I bet a CCFL retrofit would look nice.

Size wise a better physical fit for the bulbs are actually T1.5 rather than the T 1.75's. The difference is the diameter of the bulb 5.5mm vs 4.8mm. I got some #73's from Happ and they are just a bit bigger than the originals. Happ sells the 1.5's as well. They are actually E73's with E standing for European width. Genesis Lamp corp. sells E73's by the 10 pack for $7.90 with flat rate shipping of $4.91 which is better than Happ. I've got some on order but of course they are 14 volt rather than 12 volt but that's been the problem here from the beginning. Merry Christmas.
