Default Help me choose my first Pachinko

Hi, Websherpa got me back into wanting a pachinko. We are building a kids/game room and have some pinballs, a Beaver candy machine and now I want to surprise them with a pachinko.

I'm looking for recommendations - something that would appeal to kids (3 & 6) and a grandpa. Charlie Chaplin seems like a good theme.

Then there's the obvious Batman, Betty Boop type themes.

Is manufacturer important - in the pinball space the majority prefer Williams/Bally, but with Pachinko's in my limited time, it doesn't seem people focus on one manufacturer.

    Thanks,
    Doug.

I have one of Arby's machines. A Fireworks converted to cyclic. Even though the shipping box showed up with two torn corners and a slightly crushed side the way Arby packed it my Pachinko made it through it's journey undamaged. Un wrapped it, beautiful, shinny, looks like a brand new machine. Fired it up and have not had a problem with it from day one.

What I am trying to say is that if you purchase a machine from Arby you WILL be getting the best that is out there. I have purchased from two other vendors and they do not compare to Arby's machines.

Take the time and read this thread.. : http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7179

Hmmm, seems like a fair theme - not as timeless and appealing to grandpa. I tried finding the Animal King within pachitalk in the museum, but couldn't. What year is the machine - or should I even care?

Thanks again - seems Arby is the "man" - Websherpa said the same... if only there wasn't duty to Canada...

The Animal King is by Sammy - I think it's a 2004 model??

The Museum here is currently undergoing integration into the Main Forum, and I believe the Sammy models are yet to be transferred across...

Here is a link to some of Sir Arby's Videos of the machine in action

    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/show...ight=lion+king

and if you do a 'Search' for this model using the Site Search Function - you should be able to locate more information...

    Hope this helps

    and WELCOME TO PACHITALK!!
