I bought my King Camel from him. It had a blown speaker. When I reported that to him, he had the replacement sent out the very same day and even included some extra tokens to make up for me having to install the replacement. Super customer service.

If he's local and you save the shipping, I don't see how you could possibly go wrong.

I've also dealt with Jacagan. I first saw his stuff on E-bay, and it caught my eye that he was local. His warehouse is in Chandler, AZ, I'm in Mesa AZ, about a 20 minute drive :-) If you track back through his info on e-bay, you'll find he has a somewhat out of date website at http://www.goldmedalgaming.com . Most of the inventory shown there is no longer in stock (he blew most of it out the day after Thanksgiving on E-bay.) He has given up on doing the web-site himself and has hired someone to re-do it the way he wants it to be. He tells me that the new and improved site should be up soon. Before Thanksgiving, I met him at the warehouse to check out his machines and see if I could get a few of them out of his way :-) I bought a Neo Magic Pulsar from him for a very fair price and put it in my truck and carried it home that day. The day I was there he was unloading a container of new machines and he's starting to get them ready to go out. He said they had all been mechanically checked out and they just needed cleaning, deodorizing, painting etc. Then they'd probably start showing up on e-bay, just in time for X-mas :-) He was reading off the container inventory, and there weren't any of the really popular machines in this batch. There were a bunch of names I didn't recognize, maybe they're the next wave of great new machines! He told me he expected dragon dice in the next load, but it sounds like spin luck is tough to find right now. He's had Exhaust recently, but none in this load. I've got him building me a custom Spongebob machine for the kids for X-mas. It's based on Makkachin (sea creature theme and ocean sounds) with custom belly glass and top glass. I expect to go pick it up in the next few days, I should get a better look at some of his new stuff then. I've got my name on his short list for good stuff when it comes in. His prices seem fair to begin with and no shipping seals the deal for me. Instant gratification is good too! :-) He seems to be eager and willing to deal directly with locals and he'll sell you the stuff direct for less than he expects to get on e-bay. AZLEW may have something to add, he paid him a visit as well.

In case you can't tell, I give him a big thumbs-up!

Yes my girlfriend and I did a quick visit with him and wow! it was something else to feel the presence of all those Pachislos in the warehouse ! He had some out that were cleaned and ready to be shipped to customers and they looked great ! I really just wanted to say hello and meet him so I didn't get into details of prices etc like cwstnsko apparently has so I don't have anything to report here on that.

All in all thought it is nice to have a local Pachislo warehouse !

Based on what I have seen on Ebay and now at his warehouse I feel Jacagan will be very successful !

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. I appreciate it. As soon as I can get ahead of the game and have more machines ready to go than auctions going I'll see if I can offer up a few good deals for PachiTalk members. I don't mind giving the real enthusiasts a good deal. Can't go crazy with it though... I do have to pay the warehouse rent too

I have to disagree with one and only one thing that was said. I think I've got some pretty nice stuff, including some pretty big names. Here are a couple of the big names to get the appetite going...

    Beast Sapp
    Seven vs $
    Seven vs $ II
    007
    Rocky
    Neo Planet
    Rattle Snake
    Hanabi Hyakkei
    Monkey Magic (I think I have 1)

Plus lots of low to medium priced machines. I even took a shot at some Japanese titles, that would probably be considered PREMIUM if not so much Japanese. I was told they have very good music and play, just more Japanese than what is considered premium in the U.S. I also got a lot of 30 pai machines. I really like those and I see some nice customs in the future using them

Thanks again for the nice comments.

Thanks for keeping us in mind, Zcore!

Let me know about a Beast Sapp... I might like it to complete my set. I have Monkey Magic, and Hyakkei is on the way.

I'm going to try. We'll see how this container goes. If it goes good, I'll be getting another early next year. If it doesn't, I'll be back to just chatting about them and clamoring for the newest release

As you know from the prev board(pc), there are a lot of ways to sell them. Don't depend on Ebay alone. Profit lies just a few yards from your warehouse...

One of the local distributors has a shop in a local flea market.

His price for a premium machine is 1.5 - 2 times the going e-bay price.

However, when you factor in no shipping, and local support, and no wait / impulse buying, he sells quite a few.

yeah my son has one a mile or so away from him and they kick butt every weekend. He says they turn a lot of machines as they are different every time he stops by(they keep their entire inventory on display all the time). Plus it is indoors so the lights look good etc.
Nothing like making a good profit - is there :?:

I was thinking the same thing as I was walking around in the huge permanent indoor flea market down by Crismon and Baseline (SE Mesa, AZ). I think Pachislos would be a hit there. Nothing sells machines like being able to see them in persona and take them home today :-)

One small local "clearance" store does a few Pahcislos, and they ask about $400 for the very basic, unrefurbished units. Their trick is that they let people play with them in the store (not sure if this is legal in many states?) The noise draws everybody in the store over to the machines.

    Regarding the flea market idea...

As been said earlier, let people play the machines.

Have signs pointing out that you have a permanent "real" building, so they realize you will be around to service the machines.

Stress that you have a warantee...

The store is on the North Side of Apache Trail in Apache Junction. I think it's just called "Indoor Flea Market" or something similar. I don't know the address, but it's next door to a body shop and across the street from a place with "Nude Girls" on their sign out front :-) They usually have a small collection of used Quads and Motorcycles parked out front. The last time I stopped in, they only had one machine on hand, it was a very basic unit w/o any English language, and they were asking $399 I believe. They have the volume at set at normal Pachislo levels and you can certainly tell it's in the store when you're there. They keep tokens in the tray so people can play with it. They used to sell overpriced extra tokens, but the last time I was there they said they only have tokens to sell with the machines. The 1st time I talked to them about the machines was last year and at that time they offered that after the purchase, they could hook you up with a slot machine tech who would convert it to quarters for you (IIRC, they were asking at least $0.20 each for the tokens they used to sell {:-o ) The last time I stopped by, there was a sign indicating that the business was for sale as well.

    Probably too much info.... :-)
