Sadly PS3 is my least favorite of this new console war. Hopefully that will change with time as Sony gets their act together. Xbox 360 is my favorite with the Wii at a very close second. Xbox has some sick titles coming soon that I just cant refuse Halo 3, The Darkness, Bio Shock, Grand Theft Auto IV, and Assassins Creed to name a few. The Wii has a list of games that has me scratching myself as well. I couldn't part with either console. I love my PS2 but the PS3 does nothing for me. Go figure.

Yeah the wii is a great console , but some of the games available are just not worth the money hence most people have installed mod chips .

In comment to the online games , the first online game was released a few weeks back , mario strike charged football , not a bad game but each online game is gonna have its own set of friends codes , so I dont understand why it cant use the friends codes from the mii channel !!

We got 2 of them before X-mas (spent the night at a Toys R Us).
The Sponge Bob Squarepants is pretty fun (my 4 year olds liked it and now are into the Billy & Mandy game). I Bowled 2 perfect games on the Wii Bowling. My oldest Son just sold his to his cousin to upgrade his xbox 360 to an ELITE 360.

    WORD OF WARNING!!!

Make sure you (small Kids especially) Use the wrist straps!
We sent in and got the (stronger) replacements, but I see no difference).
My 4 year old son was Bowling and celebrated a good shot by spinning around with excitement, and the strap broke sending the controller, like a bullet, into my upper lip. I never saw it coming and it felt like I got hit with a hammer. Bloodied my mouth pretty good. I can't believe it didn't break teeth!

It was sore for about 2 weeks. I was just REALLY glad it hit me and not the new 55" plasma TV I had just bought a week prior. Needless to say, the Wii got relocated to the "OLD" TV.

The bowling seems to be the easiest for our guests to catch on to, and one that everyone can relate with. Most everyone has bowled before at some time in their lives.
My wife is an activity director at a retirement community, and we're hoping to take ours for the folks there to play with on their big screen sometime. I've seen a few articles about retirement communities having a Wii bowling night, and even tournaments. It should be fun to see their reaction to this virtual high tech toy.

If the fly fishing you mean is from that video (01Py's 'shows it all' link), that's part of Zelda. There are times you need to catch fish, and you can also collect them.

I've never played a Zelda game on a Nintendo in the past... never thought I'd get into it. But I gotta say... THIS one has me totally hooked!
Yeah... I bought the book for times when I get 'stuck' for a long time... but most of the time I enjoy figuring out the plot without help. It's supposed to be an average of 80-100 hours long, for the 'typical' player. I think it's going to be a bit closer to 120 hours for me.

Norwegian Cruise Lines Adds Big-Screen Wii:

Norwegian Cruise Lines will feature Wii systems aboard each ship on its fleet, Nintendo announced today.
NCL currently features Wii on several of its lines, including the Norwegian Pearl and all NCL America ships. By next month, passengers on every ship will be able to play Wii Sports, Wii Play, Wario Ware, and Excite Truck.
A Wii will be located in the atrium of each ship, where players will be able to see all the action on a ginormous screen (right). Additional units will be located in other public rooms, including the kids-only facility.
Man, Wii on a giant TV like that makes me want to take a cruise! How much are these things... hold on... uh, I'll just buy a projector or ten instead.

NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE PARTNERS WITH NINTENDO TO FEATURE WII - THE WORLD'S HOTTEST VIDEO GAME SYSTEM - ON BOARD ITS FLEET

Now guests can bowl, box and more on every ship
MIAMI - March 29, 2007 - Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) today announced it is the first cruise line to offer guests a chance to experience Nintendo's red-hot Wii video game system on board its ships. Since its launch in November 2006, the Wii system from Nintendo has become one of the most popular game systems. With an easy-to-use motion-sensitive controller, Wii draws new players into the world of video games in a very 'real' way.
Wii systems are currently on NCL's newest ship - Norwegian Pearl - and all NCL America ships. Wii will be rolled out on the rest of the NCL fleet by next month. The systems are equipped with Wii Sports, offering five distinct sports experiences: tennis, golf, baseball, boxing and bowling. Other games available on the ships include Wii Play, WarioWare: Smooth Moves and Excite Truck.
"With its active, engaging and inviting game experiences appealing to every age from kids to parents to grandparents, the Wii from Nintendo is a natural fit for Freestyle Cruising," said Colin Veitch, NCL's president and CEO. "With the addition of Wii to our on-board activities, we can now offer bowling, boxing, golf, tennis and baseball across the entire fleet. Cheering, yelling and high-fives will be highly encouraged."
"Millions of people around the world continue to discover the fun of playing Wii with their friends and families," says George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. "Norwegian Cruise Line is a great partner, as they offer us direct access to non-traditional gamers. Our partnership reinforces how Wii's social phenomenon continues to grow, from the centerpiece of gaming parties, to a workout supplement, to a fun facet of vacation cruises."

On each ship, Wii systems/setups will be located in the atrium and other public rooms allowing guests to gather and play against each other while viewing the game on large video screens. Each ship's Kid's Crew facility will also feature two Wii kiosks providing kids-only fun. The ships will also host tournaments and other activities around the games.
"This partnership with Nintendo is an industry first and another innovation for NCL," Veitch said. "This continues our mission to dismantle the traditional cruise experience and deliver the most exciting and most customizable experience at sea."

    AND

The latest club to form is called Wiimbledon, the world's first Wii tennis tournament to be held in Brooklyn next month. The site doesn't really give any specific details other than it will be held on June 23rd at a bar where there will be plenty of beer. If you're in the area, you're encouraged to sign up for email updates. Who knows, if you're good at it, there's a good chance you could walk away with your own Wii system. Better start practicing your backhand now.

    Nice find, Lew!

Socialization, exercise, and human interaction, instead of simply being a reclusive couch potato with numb thumbs. What a concept!

And titles for the reclusive as well... but providing sore arms and wrists instead of numb thumbs. :lol8:

Score a BIG one for Nintendo!

This is sweet news but Sony and Xbox have had all types of tournaments forever and a day. With that being said I must say watching people play the Wii has to be the most entertaining.

I just found this title for my PSP so no need to wait for the Wii version. I hope there's a few Pachislos to play.
