My absolute favorite would have to be Seinfeld, I almost never miss a rerun and I still keep hoping for a reunion show haha

My top 5 would round out like this -
1 - Seinfeld
2 - Star Trek TOS
3 - Cheers
4 - Kolchak, The Night Stalker (anyone remember that one?, I have the series on DVD, there was only 20 episodes and 2 movies)
5 - Wings (the sitcom about the airport in Nantucket, is been a while since I have seen it, but I used to love that show)

Kolchak: The Night Stalker, I forgot about that one! Loved it! Darren McGaven was great as Carl Kolchak. It was the original X-Files!

All time favorite oldie is the Munsters. I get a big kick out of my kids telling me there's a new show on TV when it comes on theTV Land network. Nothing like kids to make you feel young!

When I was a little Boy...Bozo'sCircus.

The WGN Chicago one, I used to run home for lunch from school to catch more of it. We used to get a hour for lunch back then from 12 to 1.

I was in the Audence Feb. 10, 1972, that darn magic arrow just missed me. My mom mailed in the card to be on when I was 3 (about 7 years). Got there when I was almost 10 and almost too big for the game anyway. But my sister got to lead the march at the end. Did go home with a candy bar and a duncan yoyo.

There was also Ray Rayner and the FrazerThomas Pupet show in the morning. In the afternoon if you had UHF and was close enough to the city you could watch BJ and the dirty dragon followed by speed racer.

They would all run different cartoons and all the weird ones were on Frazer Thomas (Clutch Cargo, Courageos cat, Gumby).


Back then there was only 7 channels 2(CBS),5(NBC),7(ABC),9(WGN),11(WTTW PBS),32 & 44.

Best British would have to have been Dr.Who -lasted the test of time...(current epsiodes are brilliant!)


American - I remember a show called "The Highwayman". Don't think it lasted long, about a guy with a big futuristic truck - with a handy helicopter inside the trailer. Had an Australian actor ,sidekick??? Does anyone else remember this one???

For a normal show - used to always watch Cheers!

Heck yes, I remember Highwayman! It starred Sam J. Jones from the Flash Gordon movie! "There is a world just beyond now..." It ranks right up there with Automan and Street Hawk as quality 80's tv!

As a child I would have to say Flipper. He was really a she. Mitzi the dolphin. She had a stunt double, Mr. Gipper who did all the tail walking and flips.

Okay if I have to pick only one.. I can't but I can narrow it down to two.

If what you own in boxed sets is any barometer then Star Trek TNG and Babylon 5. I own all of their seasons on DVD.

It's a close race for me between B5 and Farscape, with Farscape just edging out B5.
