    Default Cabinetry 101-hanabi-StarWars Cabinet

We decided that the first Pachinko to get a Cabinet would be Star Wars - so using information from Youngjedi's Journal we started the project...

After building the Star Wars Pachinko Cabinet - I wasn't happy with the playability of the Machine due to the inconvenience of having to juggle an extra ball tray to collect payouts.

The way this Modification works enables you to play the Machine with the drawer open which collects the balls from the rear of the machine and also collects the balls from the payouts at the same time. You can also play the Machine with the drawer shut and just open it on Fever Rounds. This makes it quite easy to scoop out the Balls from the drawer to refill the hopper whilst still playing.

The first three pictures show the construction of the Ramp.

The 4th and 5th pictures show testing of the Ramp

the 6th picture shows two holes cut into the Machine Surround, the 7th picture shows the slot cut out of the surround. Notice the back of the slot is cut at an angle to allow the balls to run smoothly into the drawer.

8th Picture shows the Surround Slot and Drawer more clearly.

On the back of the drawer I attached two twisters to stop the drawer from falling out. they need to be 'twisters' just in case the drawer needs to be removed.

    Drawer in position.

Ramp in position behind the slot. The Ramp on my Cabinet slotted nicely under a piece of wood which was already attached to the Frame, so no glueing was needed - and it can easily be removed for cleaning.

Photo 12 shows the complete modification. A mousemat has been glued to the Ramp and a loose Mousemat has been dropped into the drawer to deaden the noise level. Now the playability of this Machine is so much more enjoyable.

Hope this helps, from The Wookie

Very professional job you did on the cabinet. I was also looking at the outside and inside of your house. Beautiful home you have there.

Thank you all for your kind comments, although I feel a little naughty as I did have a thread originally containing a lot of these photos, and more information about the Wall Fixings, etc

I found a flag you need to get to go with those pachinkos.

Nice cabinet! And I especially like the shots of the room...really nice colors and decor. Your house should be the cover story of the next Better Homes and Gardens - Pachinko Edition!

My Star Wars ended up with a black cabinet instead, since Indy already had the white. Maharaja recently got a matching cranberry metallic flake paint job to match the frame.

In my case, I just like looking at pics of YOUR garden. It's so much nicer than looking at my overgrown mess of weeds, shrubs and dead leaves from past Fall.

I'll have to rustle up a picture of Maharaja. Unfortunately the sparkly paint doesn't show well in photos
